I would never follow a hateful or deceiving god. This is a huge reason why I accepted Christianity. Maybe my wording is wrong sometimes, about things like "true Christianity", but my message is strong. My God sent his son to earth to die for us. That we all may have hope and meaning and strength in our lives. Without hope, no matter what you believe, where is the point in life? When I think of what Jesus endured and what he did in his lifetime, I get teary. Because when all the church and government leaders and people were out to hurt people, he turned to the ones who were weaker and condemned. He believed that love and truth was healing, and he practiced that to so many.
Sometimes I think about it, and I turn to my mom and say "Why would God do all this for us? Why wouldn't he just wipe the world out, because people can be just plain cruel." And in a way we chuckle, but then she'll say. "Yeah, but when there is genuine good, like when someone helps the hungry, and the sick, and hated, that brings God joy. When someone does good and gives love without being forced to, it is better than just doing it to get to heaven."
I agree with that. And when I think of how God gives us free choice, to choose him or to turn away, that's actually really amazing.
I'll try to wrap this up. I just want to make it clear about Christianity. I honestly don't care what you believe and I love you all so much as you are and as people. But there is so much hatred within the world, and even in churches. In the end, God wants good and love to be where your heart is. -

I mean...the definition of "hate" is "to wish death upon". So, if you're God and you have limitless powers to do anything, anybody you hate is dead.
I believe God hates lies, war, and all other sins, but he doesn't hate us. He hates the things we do.
