Thread Topic: Why does God hate gays?
-
i mean, i know its in the Bible, but why?
-
This is my personal theory:
Yes, it was apparently the Word of God... But it was still written by humans. And humans make mistakes; so I figure that the Bible has a few errors, and the gay thing is one of those errors.
I seriously doubt that God hates gays. -
Thats what i thought to, people hate gays, so someone probally added that and hoped that people would follow it since it was "the word of God"
-
God doesn't hate gays! There are Christians who take those verses in the Bible and use it to hate them.
It's a sin, but everyone has sin. No one has the right to judge someone's heart though. "If anyone is without sin, cast the first stone.
And the reason I think it's considered a sin is because a man and a woman can have a baby together and form a family, that the natural way it happens. Also it is said that marriage is like a mirror of God and the church, God being the groom and the church being the bride.
That's what I have observed in my research. God doesn't hate anyone, he loves everyone so much! Please don't let people get in the way of your relationship and knowledge of God, because it doesn't matter, Christians are sinners too!
I'm ranting because I feel an urgency to make clear that God doesn't hate us, but people just plain suck. :/ -
Agreed with Ana.

The same same gender and desire to have to get on? Always.

Sorry, I really need to look at what I type before I post. I meant- To love the same gender and desire to get it on? Always.

Love isn't a sin, to a certian point.
[insert what Brit said here] -
@Emmajamme:
What the heck? Brit didn't say anything like that. -
Lust is never a good thing

Nakita I'm the same age as Emma.

tongue AdvancedAccording to most Christian theology I know of, God is all-powerful, all-loving, creates all humans in his image, and doesn't make mistakes. I think that trumps a couple of Bible verses. Good Christians should be tolerant of gays and lesbians, not hateful.
-
He gave us free- will. He didn't create gays.
-
I don't hate gays. I don't agree with them at all, but I don't want them to die.
Neither does God. He doesn't like it, but if he hated them, trust me, they would've been dead for a looong time now. -
I'm not stupid. You develop the thought. Duh, it's not spontaneous
