macoooo AdvancedConsider, first, how to cross the Koran by movement of the sun, the Almighty says: (38) And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing) [Yasin: 38]. And now we go to Western scientists themselves and those who did not believe in the Koran, what do they say? The phenomenon of movement of the sun caught the attention of one of the scientists consider to study the real course of the sun if we look at it from outside the galaxy, and of course the sun is a star in our galaxy that contain more than 100000000000 star!!
The movement of the sun was a mystery for thousands of years, as long as the view of others to the earth as fixed and that the sun revolves around it, but it turns out later that this belief is wrong, and the reason for this is simply that the mass of the sun than Earth's mass by more than a million times, and therefore does not can land the sun to attract them, but the opposite is true.
The sun and because of the large mass to attract all the planets, just as the moon attracts the earth, which is much smaller than Earth, so scientists realized that the sun is fixed and the earth revolves around! But is this the whole truth?
I discovered then that the sun attracted toward the center of our galaxy (Milky Way), but revolve around him accurately and calculated speed range from the sun in the center of the galaxy rotation about 200-250 kilometers per second. They said that the sun revolves around the center of the galaxy, and finally they found that other movement of the sun up and down, it has become more complex.
The scientists studied the movement of the sun (solar system) to see the exact path that you draw the sun during the rotation around the center of the galaxy. They found that the sun does not revolve rotation, but being a real Jriana!! And run at similar flow in the horse race track!
Scientists have found that the two movements of the sun within the galaxy: the first spin around the center of the galaxy, and the second movement of the vibrating up and down, so the sun looks like up and down and moving forward! The sun is a full cycle around the center of the galaxy through 250 million years! It takes the sun rise and fall up to 60 million years, and so up and down and forward like a man going on.
I have found that the curve drawn by the horse in Jeriana match with that curve being drawn by the sun in the run at! Is this a coincidence
movement of the sun, the Almighty says: (38) And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing) [Yasin: 38].

macoooo AdvancedAnger, negative thinking and stress are considered destructive factors for the health of heart and body, So Islam orders us to stay away and avoid them …
The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him wasn’t be angry to any life matters. His satisfaction and anger were for Allah .He, therefore, was the happiest and the most stable and tranquility person, and gave us the best examples of this.
It's rarely for the Messenger of Allah to spend a day without facing events of anger and emotion and stress but we did not know he was angry except when someone exceed the limits of Allah. The Prophet deals with any problem calmly and patiently. This is what makes people entering the religion of Allah in crowds. Therefore, God praise him in the Holy Quran: "And you on an exalted standard of character"(Al-Qalam:4).
Recent scientific studies have shown that psychological tension, stress and anger are considered destructive factors to human health and heart and it may lead to serious diseases like cancer!
Researchers believe that, despite the fact that exercise and good diet and other factors which have vital importance to heart health, the social factors, happiness, a sense of satisfaction and perfection and work towards a goal in life have an impact in their turn.
The Prophet ordered his companions to repeat important words that express satisfaction, in mornings and evenings. This is:
"I declare to Accept Allah as my Lord, to accept Islam as a religion and to Muhammad as Prophet and Messenger" Who say it ten times in the morning and evening, it will be really on God to reward him in the Day of Resurrection.
The researchers maintain that satisfaction is one of the most important remedies for any mental illness.
Most mental disorders results from dissatisfaction, Anger is at the head of factors that are detrimental to humans, it causes sudden death, stroke and myocardial infarction and blood pressure
.
Stress affects the physical and mental health
U.S. research has revealed that stress and psychological pressures faced by individuals on a daily basis can cause some types of cancer. While a similar European study found that stress is harmful to heart health. The study carried out by researchers from the American University "Yale," that psychological stress may stimulate the daily growth of tumors, And that any shock, emotional or physical, Can serve as a "corridor" between cancerous mutations which eventually lead to serious tumors.
Many verses urging peace of mind
The one who contemplates the Koran noted that many of the verses telling us to be patient and not to be anger and urge for forgiveness. One of these verses says:
"The recompense for an injury is an injury equal thereto: but if a person forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is due from Allah: for loves not those who do wrong". ( Consultation: 40) . Allah says also: " And if you do catch them out, catch them out no worse than they catch you out: but if you show patience that is indeed the best for those who are patient. And do you be patient, for your patience is but from Allah; nor grieve over them: and distress not yourself because of their plots. For Allah is with those who restrain themselves, and those who do good" ( Bees: 126-128).
He says about the righteous who promised them Paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth:
"Those who spend, whether in prosperity, or in adversity; who restrain anger, and pardon men; for Allah loves those who do good".( Al- IMRAN: 134)
The best way to treat the psychological pressure is Amnesty. Because Allah says:
"The remission is the nearest to righteousness. And do not forget liberality between yourselves. For Allah sees well all that you do."(Al- Baqara: 237)
Many daily pressures of human are caused by a sense of injustice and the inability to take from others. But once human practice "amnesty", the problem will evaporate like the heat when the water evaporates!
To remember the day of the conquest of Mecca when Allah grant victory over his enemies, who mocked, insulted, took and cursed him, But he pardoned them and said: “Go away you are free!”
This situation is a lesson for the believer who like the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him.
It is mercy of Allah towards His slaves that made the reward of tolerance and forgiveness in the Hereafter a very large one, and make its reward a great thing in this world which is enjoy better health and greater Psychological stability.
Look attentively at this wonderful text of the Quran:
"Nor can Goodness and Evil be equal. Repel with what is better: Then will he between whom and you was hatred become as it were your friend and intimate. And no one will be franted such goodness except those who exercise patience and self-restraint none but persons of the greatest good fortune."( Fosilate:34-35).
Whatever your problem with others is, it can be resolved as soon as the transaction in the best manner and with a little patience and with a good word. As Allah said:
“See you not how Allah sets forth a parable? A goodly Word like a goodly tree, whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches to the heavens. It brings forth its fruit at all times , by the leave of its Lord. So Allah sets forth parable for men, in order that they may receive admonition"

macoooo AdvancedHijrah from Mecca to Madinah
order from allah
to the Prophet Muhammad
Peace be upon him
because Quraish hurt the Prophet and the Muslims
Hijrah, in essence, is a process of transfer to a better situation. It is not meant to find a comfortable place where one would relax and stop endeavor (attempt). Rather, it is a search for an environment more favorable to continuous and constructive effort. Immediately after reaching Madinah, the Prophet undertook an all-embracing process to establish a faithful and strong society. This is a significant aspect and important lesson to learn from Hijrah.
In the Glorious Qur'an, Allah, Most High, says, "Those who believe, and migrate and strive in Allah’s cause, with their goods and their persons, have the highest rank in the sight of Allah: they are indeed the successful people. Their Lord does give them glad tidings of a Mercy from Himself, of His good pleasure, and of Gardens where enduring pleasure will be theirs: They will dwell therein forever. Verily in Allah’s presence is a reward, the greatest (of all)." (Al-Tawbah 9: 20-22)
The calendar year of Islam begins not with the birthday of our prophet (peace be on him), not from the time that the revelation came to him (Bethat) nor from the time of his ascension to heaven, but with the migration (Hijra) from an undesirable environment into a desirable place to fulfill Allah's command. It was migration from a plot that was set by the leaders of the Quraysh who were plotting to kill prophet Muhammad, and to destroy the truth that today is being conveyed to mankind everywhere against tyranny and injustice. Their purpose was to destroy the foundation of the Islamic state, the Sunnah of the tradition of the prophet, and to prevent the revelation being delivered by Allah's messenger to mankind.
The Islamic calendar is reckoned from the time of migration (Hijra) of Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him) from Mecca to Madina. The Prophet's decision to migrate from Mecca came after several years of inhuman treatment of the faithful by the powerful tribes who were united despite all their feuds to stop the spread of Islam.
Prophet Mohammad's decision to leave Mecca coincided with the infidel's plan to assassinate him. In 622 AD, the Quresh tribesmen held a meeting and decided that a band of young men, one from each tribe, should assassinate Prophet Mohammad collectively so that their responsibility for the murder could not be placed on any particular tribe.
On the eventful night, the Prophet asked his cousin Ali Ben Abutalib to take his place in bed to make the Meccans think that he was asleep. The Prophet himself slipped out unobserved alongwith his loyal follower Abu Bakr (who was chosen as the first C aliph after the death of the prophet). They secretly made their way to a cave named Thawr, not far from Mecca and lay in hiding there for a day or two until Abu Bakr's son reported that the search for him had been given up. Then the two set out from Madina on camel back. They reached Quba, on the edge of the Madina oasis, on 12th Rabiul Awwal. With Mohammad's arrival in Quba a new phase of his career and glory of Islam started.
This migration has a special significance in the history of Islam. It ended the Meccan period of humiliation and torture and began the era of success. His own people to whom he preached Islam for 13 years neglected the Prophet of Islam. But he was cordially received in Madina as an honored chief.
In Madina his power enhanced day by day. Here he was not only the religious leader but took the role of a politician and statesman too. Prophet Mohammad expired ten years after his migration to Madina but only in one decade he changed the course of human history.
Our religious calendar is the Hijri calendar. It is important for us to keep in mind the meaning and significance of Hijrah.
Islamic months begin at sunset of the first day, the day when the lunar crescent is visually sighted. The lunar year is approximately 354 days long, so the months rotate backward through the seasons and are not fixed to the Gregorian calendar. The months of the Islamic year are:
1. Muharram ("Forbidden" - it is one of the four months during which it is forbidden to wage war or fight)
2. Safar ("Empty" or "Yellow")
3. Rabia Awal ("First spring")
4. Rabia Thani ("Second spring")
5. Jumaada Awal ("First freeze")
6. Jumaada Thani ("Second freeze")
7. Rajab ("To respect" - this is another holy month when fighting is prohibited)
8. Sha'ban ("To spread and distribute")
9. Ramadan ("Parched thirst" - this is the month of daytime fasting)
10. Shawwal ("To be light and vigorous")
11. Dhul-Qi'dah ("The month of rest" - another month when no warfare or fighting is allowed)
12. Dhul-Hijjah ("The month of Hajj" - this is the month of the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, again when no warfare or fighting is allowed)
Hijrah was one of the most important events in the history of Islam. It is for this reason `Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) adopted Hijrah date to calculate years. Muslims chose Hijrah as the focal point to reckon their chronology. In physical terms, Hijrah was a journey between two cities about 200 miles apart, but in its grand significance it marked the beginning of an era, a civilization, a culture and a history for the whole mankind. Islam progressed not only from the physical Hijrah, but because Muslims took Hijrah seriously in all its aspects and dimensions.

the interest in the rare diseases, which have only few thousands cases, declined. Among these diseases we have chosen ten to get you acquainted with their symptoms:
1. Morgellons Disease
2. Progeria disease
3. Water sensitivity disease
4. The disease of speaking weird languages
5. Deadly laughter disease
Symptoms end with death of the patients that were found to have hollows in their brains after autopsy. The American physician Dr. Carlton Gajdusek studied the disease and concluded that it started to disseminate after the cannibalism by the people of the tribe, this discovery led to the cease of this custom which results in disappearance of the disease in 1976 and Dr. Carlton Gajdusek was awarded Noble Prize for medicine.
6. The disease of joints transformation into bones
7. Alice in wonder land Syndrome.
It is a disease that affect senses in which the patient believe that what he sees, hears or touches is much smaller than what it is in the fact, also he feels that his body is very small and it causes strong migraine headache to the patient.
The doctors inspired the disease's name from the story of "Alice in Wonder Land" in which the hero faces similar conditions. Despite the medical debate whether the writer of the story, Louis Clark, had this disease is not decided yet, the writer was actually suffering from continuous migraine headache.
8. Porphyria Disease
9. Pica Syndrome
Pica is a Latin word means avidity, in this disease the patients tend to eat whatever in their way even paints and dirt.
10. Moebius Syndrome
Extremely rare genetic disorder characterized by having complete facial paralysis where the patients are unable to close or move their eyes,
All praises to Allah!
Now, my beloved readers, we have to contemplate, even to inquire: why should we always say (All praises to Allah), as our prayer after Basmala (saying in the name of Allah) starts with (All praises to Allah the Lord of all that exists), when we eat, drink or wear new dress we say (All praises to Allah), when we get out of the bathroom we say (All praises to Allah), when we wake up we say (All praises to Allah ), even when we are stricken with poverty or disease we have to say immediately (All praises to Allah) but why?
The blessings that Allah granted us are uncountable, even when we are at the highest degree of the disease severity we find uncountable number of blessings when compared to others who are in worse situation than ours. Therefore, we have to repeatedly say all praises to Allah for any situation.
What attracted my attention in this article is the deadly laughter disease which is the result of cannibalism of animals, from which we can realize why Allah the Almighty Had forbidden eating dead bodies, as He the Almighty says: "Forbidden to you are: Al- Maitah (the dead animals - cattle - beast not slaughtered), blood, the flesh of swine,
and that on which Allâh's Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering, and that which has been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by the goring of horns - and that which has been (partly) eaten by a wild animal - unless you are able to slaughter it (before its death) - and that which is sacrificed (slaughtered) on An-Nusub (stone-altars). (Forbidden) also is to use arrows seeking luck or decision; (all) that is Fisqun (disobedience of Allâh and sin). This day,
those who disbelieved have given up all hope of your religion; so fear them not, but fear Me. This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islâm as your religion. But as for him who is forced by severe hunger, with no inclination to sin (such can eat these above mentioned meats), then surely, Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (3: Al Mae'da).

macoooo Advancedif we revert to the Holy Quran, we will find the divine order for people to eat the lawful foods which Allah, the Almighty Had created for them. He says: "O you who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism)! Eat of the lawful things that we have provided you with, and be grateful to Allâh, if it is indeed He Whom you worship" (172: Al Baqara). Therefore, the scientists confirm that the best type of food is what we find ready in the nature before the human hand poison it!
A study, conducted by a research team at College London, had concluded the possibility of having relationship between depression and consumption of processed foods as people who consume larger amounts of vegetables, fruits and fish are less exposed to depression.
Do not eat processed and junk foods! This is the newest advice given to you by the Nutritionists. Studies verified that canned meat products and foods containing preservatives and ready to eat meals (like Hamburgers, etc) have harmful effects on the person's emotional status, so if you want to enjoy emotional stability and quietness, have physical health and live longer you have to stay away from these foods.
It was verified through this study that the percentage of depression in people who had larger amounts of natural foods is 26% less than people who had processed foods like Mortadella, Hamburgers and Junk foods, on the other hand, the percentage of depression among people consuming larger amounts of processed foods is 58% higher than people who consumed less amounts of these foods.
A message to the Muslim Doctors ...
Dear beloved in Allah! The non-Muslim scientists do not have a solid base to refer to in their experiments, therefore, you find that theories change and develop from time to time. But what distinguish us as Muslims is that we have a Holy Book which has clarification for everything and Allah, the Almighty, had explained to us many things that are connected to our physical and emotional health.
Many scientific studies had confirmed that the best types of foods are the foods that Allah Had created in this nature, especially fruits, cereals and meat, the scientists say that the person who concentrate on fruits in his diet is more capable of handling emotional stress and more calm, therefore some researchers suggest larger intake of fruits as a remedy for stress management! So, we have to thank Allah for His great blessings as He said: "And the earth: He has put down (laid) for the creatures * Therein are fruits and date-palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates) * And also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-scented plants * Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinn and men) deny? " (10-13 Al Rahman).
I would like to suggest to the Muslim scientists, why don't you do such experiments to prove to the whole world the truth of this great religion:
1. Prove that the one who depends on the Islamic diet is healthier than others. This means to do experiments on Muslim people who do not eat pork and eat meat slaughtered by the Islamic way and on the other side do the same experiments on non Muslims who do not apply these rules.
2. Prove that the person who eat more dates, honey and olive oil, which are the main foods, mentioned in the Quran, is healthier than the average person who does not apply this food system. And that this food affects the emotional status making the person more stable.
3. Prove that the one who eats with his right hand and have Allah's name mentioned on the food will be healthier than the one who do not mention Allah's name or eat with his right hand.
As a Muslim, I believe that the foods mentioned in the Quran: olive, fig, dates, grapes, pomegranate, honey ... all ensure you much emotional stability and make your immune system more resistant to diseases, especially Heart and cancer diseases. And the Quran emphasizes the importance of eating natural foods, therefore He, the Almighty says: "So eat of the lawful and good food which Allâh has provided for you. And be grateful for the Favour of Allâh, if it is He Whom you worship "(114: Al Nahl).
These are simple and available experiments but need some patience and specialty, and in deed, dear beloved brothers, that if we had a research center, we would hurry in applying thousands of Islamic experiments which are ignored by the western scientists, all of which are developed from Quran and Sunnah. We hope that such experiments will be a tool for showing the greatness of Islam religion, also showing the miracles of the Quran.
We ask Allah, the Almighty, to subject, to perform such work, those whom He loves and approves, He is the capable of responding to us, as He says: "We will show them Our Signs in the universe, and in their own selves, until it becomes manifest to them that this (the Qur'ân) is the truth. Is it not sufficient in regard to your Lord that He is a Witness over all things? (53-54: Fussilat).

macoooo AdvancedFor many years atheists used to criticize this likening, but the scientific researches had proved the accuracy of the verses of Qur’an …
Allah almighty says”The likeness of those who take Auliya' (protectors and helpers) other than Allah is as the likeness of a spider, who builds (for itself) a house, but verily, the frailest (weakest) of houses is the spider's house; if they but knew.”[ Sûrat Al-‘Ankabût(The Spider)-verse41],this is a wonderful verse to prove the greatness of the holy Qur’an and to be a clear reply on atheists who claim that the Qur’an is a human made.
Scientists say that spider’s thread is stronger five times than the steel! Despite that it can easily destroyed, why? Because spider is not able to produce thick threads rather it produces so thin threads as it is ten times thinner than the hair of the head.
Hence, if Allah almighty said “the frailest (weakest) threads”, here a scientific error will be identified but He almighty says:” the frailest (weakest) of houses is the spider's house” and this isthe preciseexpression. Allah says:” And who is truer in statement than Allah?”[ Sûrat An-Nisâ’(The Women)-verse87]
The similarities between the atheist and the spider
• There are 37000 kinds of spiders on earth and scientists are not able to imitate the threads of the spider as that creature has got a magnificent engineering technique in building and designing, exactly the same as atheist who used to do a perfect work in this life but in the hereafter all of his or her works will equal nothingas Allah almighty don’t accept none of those works.Allah says: (And We shall turn to whatever deeds they (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, etc.) did, and We shall make such deeds as scattered floating particles of dust)[ Sûrat Al-Furqân(The Criterion)verse 23])
Scientists say that there is a contradiction in the threads of spider as it is very strong but its house is very weak. the same as atheists as you find them are contradicted in their thoughts , when you ask them who created the universe , the answer is no one or the coincidence but if you told them that no one did produce the car , indeed they will consider it as a fun!!!!!!!
• The sight power of spider is limited to only few centimeters, exactly like the atheist who just sees this life as all things and don’t put the hereafter in his calculations.
• Spiders are aggressive and ravenous creatures and may hurt others by its poison…. The same as atheist who used to distribute his or herpoisons (wrong thoughts and disbelieving) between people.
The thickness of the thread is between 0.001- 0.004 millimeter and it is elastic as it may expand to 140% of its length. Scientists say that thicknessof the thread is 30 times less than the thickness of the human hair , if you want to imagine the relation between human hair and spider thread so you can see the difference between the thread and the cable
Spider life and atheist life
My beloved, we will examine some western statistics which produced by the atheists themselves to compare between the weak life of spiders and the weak life of atheists who believe only in this life and who used to consider the Satan and money as the leaders and gods.
The black widow is one of the most dangerous kinds of spiders as it eats her husband after the sexual intercourse …what a miserable creature
Do you know that in America, each year there are 300000 Cases of rape (American ministry of justice)[1] and there is a rape every two minutes [2]!!!!!!!......this society had lost all social relations… exactly as the spider.
Do you know that 17.6% of the American women were exposed to rape minimum one time in life! And 20% of them are children who are less than 12 years old!!!!And quarter of the university students in America exposed to raping during their studying in university (fisher 2000).
And every 15 seconds there is a raped woman in America (sexually or physically)by a friend or a colleague, also 20% of girls are raped in the teenager period[4].also raping children is estimated by thousands of cases in that first world according to recent statistics. !!!
Summary
We can summarize the miracle of that holy verse”The likeness of those who take Auliya' (protectors and helpers) other than Allah is as the likeness of a spider, who builds (for itself) a house, but verily, the frailest (weakest) of houses is the spider's house; if they but knew.” as following:
1. The holy verse mentioned that the female spider builds the house not the male as Allah says: “who builds (for itself)” not who builds for himself. This scientific reality wasn’t known 1400 years ago at the time of the descending of the Qur’an.
2. The weakest house in the whole nature is the house of spider and this scientific fact wasn’t known at that time.
3. The holy verse determined in a clear sentence that the weakest is the house not the thread which is considered to be a miracle which testifies that this book was descended from Allah the almighty and it is never a human made.

macoooo Advanced, why?.....…
Scientists say that sleeping on the left side is not favored, as the heart would be under the pressure of the right lung, the biggest of the two lungs, and this would affect its contraction especially if the person is old. Also they assure that the full stomach which itself is under the pressure of the heaviest organ in the digestive tract, the liver, which delays its emptying, would also impose a pressure on the heart.Hence they advise people to sleep on the right side especially for patients by any heart disease.
Prophet Mohamed peace be upon him advised us 1400 years ago to start our sleeping mode on the right side
Glory to Allah!!! Who told our prophet this medical advice?
The secrets and miracles of the Koran do not end in the past, present and future
God every day shows the miracle scientists
Even non-Muslim convert to Islam
There will be questions about the Koran all the time and every time for all generations
The Koran answers them and scientists rejoice in proving the health of the Quranic miracle
A non-Muslim need this
for convert to Islam
We have to wonder about the Koran
A Muslim does not need this because he believes directly in the words of God
As I said the Koran is constant and the theory only shows every day the health of the Koran

macoooo AdvancedAfter many studies on athletics, scientists have found that people who used to practice jogging or walking, have muscles and knees in a good condition as long as they keep practicing without a stop. Also they found that people who stop practicing are exposed to knees problems.
So they made a result that daily walking strengthen knees, also regular and continuous walking helps the Knee’s cartilage to be used for movement and loading ,sothe knees become used on walking and running for decades without being hurt.
Walking to mosques is a wonderful sport
Here, we remember what happened between the prophet peace be upon him and the blind man who asked the prophet to pray at home , but the prophet refused and ordered him to pray at the mosque even in “Fajr prayer” because if he stayed at home , he will be ill by many diseases because of staying without practicing walking.
This is an indication that all orders of this religion are good for us even if we don’t understand what behind the order. The prophet said to his companion (do you want to know what erase sins and raise Muslims to the upper levels in heaven , they said yes, then the prophet said that you must make the ablution perfectly and to walk to mosques and to wait the prayers .)[Narrated by Muslim].
Don’t we have to be proud with this marvelous religion?

Muhammad ibn (son of) Abdullah ibn (son of) Abdul Mutalib, was born on 12 Rabi 'Awwal in the year 570 C.E. (Christian Era) in Makkah, (today: Saudi Arabia) and he died in 633 C.E. in Yathrib (today: Madinah, Saudi Arabia)
In Arabic the word prophet (nabi) is derived from the word naba which means news. Thus we deduce that a prophet spreads the news of God and His message, they are in a sense God’s ambassadors on earth. Their mission is to convey the message to worship One God. This includes, calling the people to God, explaining the message, bringing glad tidings or warnings and directing the affairs of the nation. All the prophets were anxious to convey God’s message sincerely and completely and this included the last prophet, Muhammad. During his final sermon Prophet Muhammad asked the congregation three times whether he had delivered the message, and called on God to witness their answer, which was a resounding “yes!”.
As well as the essence of their call to One God, another accepted sign of the truth of the prophets is how they live their lives. The accounts of Prophet Muhammad’s life that we have inherited from our righteous predecessors illustrate that Muhammad’s Prophethood was guided by God from the very beginning. Long before, Prophethood Muhammad was being prepared to guide humankind to the straight path and his life experiences stood him in good stead for such a weighty mission. Then at the age of 40 when Prophethood was bestowed upon him, God continued to support and affirm his mission. Any account of Muhammad’s life is filled with examples of his exemplary character; he was merciful, compassionate, truthful, brave, and generous, while striving solely for the rewards of the Hereafter. The way Prophet Muhammad dealt with his companions, acquaintances, enemies, animals and even inanimate objects left no doubt that he was ever mindful of God.
Muhammad’s birth was accompanied by many so called miraculous events and the talk of the extraordinary events no doubt functioned as signs of Prophethood,
Special but not unique circumstances surrounded childhood of Prophet Muhammad and these undoubtedly had a bearing on his character. By the time he was eight years old he had suffered through the death of both his parents and his beloved grandfather Abdul Muttalib. He was left in the care of his uncle and great supporter Abu Talib. Thus even as a young boy he had already suffered great emotional and physical upheaval. Both the many chroniclers of Muhammad’s life and the Quran acknowledge his disrupted life.
Did He not find you (O Muhammad) an orphan and gave you a refuge? (Quran 93:6)
Muhammad’s uncle Abu Talib was poor and struggled to keep his family fed, thus during his adolescence Muhammad worked as a shepherd. From this occupation he learned to embrace solitude and developed characteristics such as patience, cautiousness, care, leadership and an ability to sense danger. Shepherding was an occupation that all the prophets of God we know of had in common. ‘…The companions asked, “Were you a shepherd?” He replied, “There was no prophet who was not a shepherd.”’[1]
In his teens Muhammad sometimes travelled with Abu Talib, accompanying caravans to trade centres. On at least one occasion, he is said to have travelled as far north as Syria. Older merchants recognized his character and nicknamed him Al-Amin, the one you can trust. Even in his youth he was known as truthful and trustworthy. One story that is accepted by most Islamic scholars and historians is the account of one of Prophet Muhammad’s trips to Syria.
The story goes that the monk Bahira foretold the coming Prophethood and counselled Abu Talib to “guard his nephew carefully”. According to biographer Ibn Ishaq, as the caravan in which Prophet Muhammad was travelling approached the edge of town, Bahira could see a cloud that appeared to be shading and following a young man. When the caravan halted under the shadow of some trees, Bahira “looked at the cloud when it over-shadowed the tree, and its branches were bending and drooping over the apostle of God until he was in the shadow beneath it.” After Bahira witnessed this he observed Muhammad closely and asked him many questions concerning a number of Christian prophecies he had read and heard about.
The young Muhammad was distinguished among his people for his modesty, virtuous behaviour and graceful manners, thus it was no surprise for his companions to see him, even as a youth many years before Prophethood, shun superstitious practices and keep away from drinking alcohol, eating meat slaughtered on stone altars or attending idolatrous festivals. By the time he reached adulthood Muhammad was thought of as the most reliable and trustworthy member of the Meccan community. Even those who concerned themselves with petty tribal squabbles acknowledged Muhammad’s honesty and integrity.
Muhammad’s virtues and good moral character was established from a young age, and God continued to support and guide him. When he was 40 years old Muhammad was given the means to change the world, the means to benefit the whole of humanity
