Stardust1 NoviceOh that's an old one, but still really good! You know a while ago, there was this funny video that had the same song but different lyrics. These two guys were fishing, and one of them was struggling to reel in a fish. Then singing to the other guy,"Curtis take the reel, Take it from my hands, 'Cause I cant do it on my own..." And the video goes on like this, making that song seem so funny. It's just so dramatic.

Stardust1 NoviceThat song, geek. Is that how you really feel? God doesn't hate us. I know you see wars and death and torture and starvation and disease and whatever else is horrible, but God didn't cause that. Humans did. All humans are imperfect and selfish and have done terrible things, but God doesn't want that.
You might ask, so then why does God allow it? If He's so powerful, why doesn't He stop the wars?
The answer is: free will. We have a choice. If God were to force us to always be good, to accept Him, to love Him back, then that wouldn't be loving. He wants us to choose to do the right thing. He's letting us have free will.
You still might ask, then what about diseases? And natural disorders, things humans can't help?
The world's not perfect either. It's decaying, and one day God will wipe it out to make a new earth, but until then we just have to trust Him. He's God! He's got it under control. Knowing that, I have no fear, and I have hope. Where do you get your hope, geek? -
