wicannii NewbieIt really is; when I was atheist, people kept telling me I was going to hell and were commonly rude to me. Although, it turned out the Christian god just wasn't for me and I didn't really think there were other religions that weren't the major ones for me to try.

I feel bad for atheists. I mean how could someone live thinking that after you die nothing happens?

It's terrifying, honestly, but when you can't convince yourself to believe in all of that religious nonsense, you kind of just have to accept it. I use my fear to drive me to try and use the time I have here to the fullest.

it's a strange myth that atheists have nothing to live for it's the opposite we have nothing to die for we have everything to live for

Yorick, I'm not afraid of living like this. It's really nice, actually, not answering to anyone and just doing what feels right to me. But without the delusion of an afterlife, I do get caught up imagining the oblivion waiting for me when it ends a lot, and that scares me senseless. -

I didn't say you have to accept it. Cling to your beliefs. I'm not trying to convert you. I just said that if you are an atheist, accepting oblivion is something you just have to do.
