As I was washing my face the other night in the kitchen, I had the sink full of water and my face covered in soap so I was blind.In the kitchen we have a back door to which at the time I had unlocked, it was around 10:00PM-as I was washing I heard the door open like someone had walked in and I immediately freaked out and wiped the water/soap from my eyes as fast as I could, when I looked at the door it was closed shut, I was still pretty paranoid so I cautiously patrolled the house with a kitchen knife in-case someone had walked in and just ran into the house but I found nothing, I looked outside all around the house, nothing.I was home alone that night.
I get chills thinking about it, I told my boyfriend about this and his theory is that someone probably did open the door but saw me and just ran back out, our home isn't fenced off and they could have just hid somewhere, but damn that was scary. -
Has anything like that or weird happened before? If it was a one-off then it might have just been a burglar who maybe saw you so ran back out.

Most likely, actually.I'm pretty sure of it now considering people who lived a few blocks away had their AC stolen, was gone this morning.
Either way its pretty crazy, locking everything and sleeping with a bat now. -
That's a bit disappointing xD It's not really a Ghost story thread now.
The fact that they ran away because someone was home make me less scared of those kinds of burglars, it means they're just after your stuff, that's what would make me feel better if it was me
Back to the subject, anyone got any more ghost stories? -
I'm very uneasy in a corner of my brother's room. It's really peculiar, too, because the rest of our house is vert airy and welcoming. Whenever I go near the corner, I feel nauseous and frightened. My heart paces a bit and it's unpleasant until I move from the corner. At night, he keeps his door cracked and it's near our bathroom. When I catch sight of the crack, the same feeling returns and I must hurry away.
In my friend's house, I always feel very upset and uneasy on the set of stairs that leads to the second floor. He lives with his aunt, and her brother hanged himself in their previous home. Something tells me it's him, but I'm not sure. -
Doesn't your brother notice it if its in his room?

Animelover9 Newbieone time I heard small footsteps behind my desk and went to checking out there was a doll. a few nights before I looked at a Victorian doll I have and looked away. a minute later when I looked back at the doll its head turned to my derection. I was very little when that happened. I was five. since then I am super scared of dolls.

Sometimes while I'm on a bus or in a car ( usualy when passing a forest or an area with either very little light or A lot of light .
I'll see a grey coloured light that looks wispy but then when I blink or look back ( if I looked away it's gone )
Probaly just my eyes being stupid again
Sometimes ( even in the dark ) I can see colours just appear gradually but if I look in another direction they either dissapear or bother colour builds up
I think again this is just my eyes
Not really creepy but here is something
When I was younger I think 8
I was in my mum and dads room it was Christmas morning we were waiting for dad to be finsihed in the bathroom ( and the siblings to get their lazy butts up ) and I heard voices from down stairs
Mum said she heard them to ( I doubt it though )
And I immediately assumed it was santas elves talking to each other the voices stopped a little while later
At this time I wouldn't class these as voices in my head as I had already discovered five of my voices and I didn't think the sound felt like it he from my head.

When I was very young, maybe ten or eleven, I was home alone for a while, and I heard a kind of crashing sound, as if someone were there and knocked something down. There was nothing I saw that could have caused it (like a washing machine). It freaked me out for a good ten, twenty minutes. It was probably just my imagination mingling with gravity, though :P

Also, when I was even younger than that, my half siblings and I were going to sleep in the same room, talking and stuff. I must have been about 6 or 7, something like that. Me and my oldest sister
'A' sat on the bed opposite my other sister 'B', and my brother was laying the floor.
Suddenly B started crying. A asked her what was wrong??? Then B started laughing like a maniac, and threw a red candle at us. It left a red mark on the wall. Then A was really worried. Then B got up and started choking C (brother). He, at first, didn't think much of it, but then B wouldn't stop and he of course was freaked out. I don't remember what happened after that, probably A pulled B off of C.
Anyway, B later on said that she felt like she was taken over by a version of herself that was not her. I heard that's what she said from someone else.
This is the only super scary experience I can think of, since it's kinda the only one I've had. Thankfully. -

I have experienced a lot of incidences from seeing shadow people to waking up to find a grotesque(ugly looking) little girl standing by my bed to my aunt being possessed...
I have heard voices when I am alone, doors bang shut and open and shut again, light switches turn on and off on their own and my dog or cats never go to a certain part of my house (Tried carrying my dog there but he just howled and stared at a place but nothing was there)
My grandmother says this house is over 200 years old, and a child was killed here because her parents were too ashamed of how ugly she was, this happened about 80-90 years ago when my Grandma was a little girl about yey highModerator
