Thread Topic: Christians are saying that Judgement Day is coming.

And it's only suppose to be between a man and a woman.
Should I troll the f--- out of them now? -
These are the same people who believe in a talking snake. Christians are morons.
-
Judgement day probably won't happen until the 3000's. There's still a lot that has to happen and become true, like a single world leader, that would eventually become one of the Antichrist's.
-
I tried to explain our complex theory earlier, but it is too complex to elaborate over the Internet.
But there is a group of sting Christian leaders who believe the Rapture will present itself sometime in the next few years. -
People have been claiming the world is going to end since all the way back to the Romans. It's hardly a solely Christian belief.
Granted, the Mormon church alone has made 22 doomsday predictions in the last 25 years, but this time it's for real guys! Prepare for the end, bury your gold! Don't think about how it makes no sense to buy gold for the end of the world.
To be honest though, anyone with half a brain already knows when the world is going to end. In the year 5 000 000 000, when the sun swells to a red giant and consumes whatever is left of the planet at that time. -
Oh wait, never mind. The world isn't ending because of dumb stupid law, that is only part of the reason. You are on the tip of the iceberg.

Well, I want to point out here that the Bible explicitly says that no one knows when the Rapture is going to happen, and that anyone who tries to guess it is wrong or trying to swindle you out of money. (Mark 13: 32-37)
Also, I want to point out that the Anti-Christ is not a single person, as the Bible also made clear that the Anti-Christ is anyone who intentionally leads people away from Christ or claims to be Jesus himself. The Bible even mentions that there were multiple Anti-Christs when Jesus walked the Earth. (1 John 2: 18) -
The Bible also says that we may not know the day or the hour but we can know the season.
-
Chapter and verse? I can't seem to find anything that suggests that.
-
It's going to be never, because Jesus doesn't exist. Neither does Satan, or demonic aliens, or crazy s--- Christians come up with.
-
In an infinite universe, the odds of aliens existing is 100%.
Besides, if you didn't want to discuss a hypothesis, why did you make a thread where the main premise itself is hypothetical? That just makes you look like an idiot, or an a--hole, or both. -
Did you not read the words "one of the", IHLAOY?
We don't live in an infinite universe, though,, unless you're speaking in terms of the multiverse, in which case you could ask whether our copies would be considered aliens. -
I'll admit, I didn't see them. I apologize, Alex.
Don't we? Assuming entropy never exceeds output, the universe will keep expanding forever. And even if that assumption is untrue, modern estimates place the size of the universe to 10 to the power of 10 to the power of 70. You couldn't write a number that big with all the pencils on Earth. It's essentially infinite, and we have no way of knowing if it's getting larger. -
Wait, s---, that's wrong, sorry.
The size of the universe is estimated to be 93 billion light years in every direction, with no sign of ending or repeating. And we don't know if it's still expanding.
The figure I posted was the amount of particles estimated in the universe. Sorry, my brain turned off for a moment. -
Thats okay, happens to me.
From what I've heard, through the few cosmic waves coming from the actual Big Bang, They've estimated that the size of the universe is just out of the observable portion of it, which is about 13.77 billion light years from here to the edge, or 27.54 billion light years in diameter, so I'm not sure where you're getting the 93 from. And actually we do know that the universe is still expending, for galaxies that are near to us are retreating, just not super-close ones, like Andromeda, that is actually on a collision course with the Milky Way. Actually, they have even observed through the same method they use to know how fast Andromeda is coming at us and measured that the Universe's expansion is in fact speeding up. If anything, (unless Dark Energy suddenly becomes an attractive force instead of a repulsive one, but that's whole different thing) we're heading for a "Big Rip" universe where, just as the title says, eventually, literally everything will be shredded by the universe's expansion rate.
