I got the 93 figure from Extra Dimensions in Space and Time, a book written in 2009; so it's possible that results may have changed by then. Never-the-less, I feel that's close enough to any sort of answer for any real discussion.
True, but I'm acting under the assumption that as stars die and planets crumble, the matter they're made of will also spread out and condense again, forming new stars and planets at the beginning of their cycles, creating an infinite universe. Of course, this doesn't discredit the Big Rip theory, but I feel this is a more likely possibility. -
things don't exactly decay like that, and the only time they will would be in a Big Chill universe that either stops expanding and becomes static, or has a very slight expansion rate, which would give matter trillions of years to just fall to pieces, although after about 10 trillion years of red dwarves burning out, there won't be enough non-fused hydrogen to create new stars, so matter will just decay and eventually fall into black holes, which would decay in and of themselves in around a googol years.
