People, there is no proper interpretation of the bible. Whether your goal is to degrade Christianity or defend it, you can quite safely and happily abandon the bible.
In regards to calling it contradictory or illogical, or claiming that it must be taken the right way to make sense, its all bulls---.
Its only as contradictory or meaningful as you make it out to be. Its an inkblot and you stare into then try to argue that what you see Is actually there, while someone of a little more perspective will stand back, realizing that you have been duped by the law of near enough and the human aptitude for pattern recognition, will pick out certain characteristics of what is totally undirected literature and bury you with superior maneuverability.
No good can come from arguing the bible.
And lets just say for arguments sake, it really is the word of god...everyone's already heard it. Its outlived its usefulness and is in all ways totally obsolete.
which ever team you bat for, you're leaving yourself wide open if you start trying to argue points about the bible
