Pretend gotoquiz is the universe, gtq guy is the god as he directly controls it, he can change anything and everything.
Now, you have a computer and its sole purpose is a virtual world. That is all it does. Everything is decided by a complex set of algorithms with apparently random outputs.
The computer allocates a certain amoumt of memory to every single object within the world. When going faster they have less memory for doing operations like increasing the age variables of the objects.
They can obviously directly edit the code for algorithms and variables for people and the enviroment.
Who knows how the computers creator got there, they are part of another place with completely different physics and scientific laws. All we know are the laws defined by him.
