in the "beggining" all known energy was smoshed into a point about the size of a grapefruit. then.....a realease of power so extremely volital every spectrum in the flux becom solid, and then broke up again. this change in nature caused a realease of particles-electrons, qauslectros, and leptons- these flecks of cosmic dust slowly formed shape. over time forming molecules, which in turn formed every substence you know of and beyond. from the time the universe formed to now was 10tothe10th years. our planet and sun has lived 10tothe5th years. in the billions of years following that time the stars will eventually die and even the vast mass of black gravity will eventually disperse leaving the final moments of the "universe" literally 100 percent diffuse. the remaining gravitic fluxtual energy pulling the bits of things together making one final Big Crunch theory, and then, boom.

Religion is confusing. -
the exent of our mathmatical construction of our "universe" history is 10tothe10th (roughly) years beyond that we can only guess. its not unreasonable to say that an absentee father figure or "god" created the cycle our "universe" hinges on, but it is physically safe to say such a god hasn't been around in about 10 billion years. also its equally safe to say such a "god" will never return.
as to the energy, it could very well have always been there. granted thats a very cheap answer its the only one there is.
