Well, I believe in God. But I just want to point out some logical reasons that I haven't yet seen. *doesn't really get on this forum X)*
Now, pretend it's summer. You see a twelve year old in a banana costume walking down your street. Now, that isn't normal. However, on Halloween, it is normal. Further explanation on this after my next example.
We now turn to Twilight Zone, the 1960s version. I believe that in the episode 'Monsters are Due on Maple Street', behaivor that once seemed normal seemed odd because they needed it to fit in with what they believed, aliens. -
Perhaps it is this way in Christianity? Maybe these people just needed something to explain this,maybe Jesus fit in with their plans.
This is a logical reason why God wouldn't exist. I believe i n God for much different reasons, reasons I can't even explain in words, which is why I haven't said it. The only reason I'm posting these reasons is because I find these conversations interesting. XI Debate it amongst yourselves. -

Back to Halloween.
If it weren't Halloween, would seeing an oversized banana strolling down the street be normal? I certainly hope not.
Why, now I'm just being redundant. XI I still have other stuff, which I believe has been discussed on here many times before. -
Now, homosexuality.
I know what your saying: "Oh lookie here, the lesbian is here to preach about her lifestyle choice, yippee! This shall be fun!"
Well, sort of, but not really so much my own opinion on homosexuality, but more my opinion on God's 'love'.
See here, I believe that every emotion branches off of either
a. Love ( Positive feelings. )
b. Fear ( Negative feelings. )
Now, let's ignore the awesome fact both have the same number of characters, that would be me being weird and hypocritical again. Ahem.
If God truly loves everybody, why does he hate 'us'?
Yes, I know about love-hate relationships, but my mind automatically associates this with teenage lust. Forgive me. -
Besides the point.
If God hates the sinners, such as homosexuals, enough to burn us to the dust from which we came, wouldn't hate be a negative feeling, placing it under fear? /Fear/? What is He afraid of?
However, Christianity is complex and strange, so who knows? Just some illogical things to consider. -
Wait, I have more to add to the 'Twilight Zone' theory I made up.
The same can be said about every religion.
"This verse talks about killing babies. It's hateful. That means God isn't real."
"They found an artifact that says 'Jesus is the brother of James'. God is real!"
"They made a movie with Greek mythology. Hercules is real, you candy-cane penus heads!"
"You guys. You are debating logical and illogical reasons for your beleifs and non-beliefs. Religion is stupid,just forget it."
Not good examples, I'm aware.
My point is, nobody is truly 'safe'. Not one of us is 'right'. We're all wrong. What does this mean? I have no bloody clue. -

Yeah, I couldn't quite follow any of that. I kind of get what you were saying with the whole Twilight Zone thing, that the Bible was written in a different time and therefore doesn't really provide an appropriate guide for our time. That was my take-away at least.

We are still the same human beings we were back then. The only thing that has changed us is our overall decisions about morals.

And that's a bad thing? The morality of the Bible teaches us that it is okay to own slaves. I'm pretty sure we were right to call bulls--- on that one.

Look, the bible said that after 6 years the slave would go free....AND if the master mistreated the save could go free at once! Being a slave was not that bad in the Bible!
