So I saw a friend's status on fb and this was the strongest part of the post. He practically took the words right out of my mouth. I found this to be quiet true and I suppose I wanted to hear some people's opinions on this (I'm not doing this for the sake of being an edgy atheist, just somewhat bored and wanted to converse about this sort of thing on the internet with a bunch of strangers). -
I agree. That does carry a very heavy impact bro. I like that quote. I might quote them.

If only I could so easily disregard fact in favor of whimsical rants in order to distance myself from other members of my species who are less like me...truly the capacity for hypocrisy and narrow vision is strong in this one.
Although I will admit that it's much easier for me to regard myself and others in animal terms, rather then civilized ones, it's pretty obvious that we have many features that define us as a species. Less intelligent members included.
and actually, yes we are animals. It's pretty silly to delude yourself into thinking ANY of us is anywhere above the next hairy thing. logic or no logic.
