No one can know of Heaven and Hell, so how can these things be the anything but a myth?
-
I agree, because people fear the afterlife, so they create these stories to make themselves feel batter about themselves, not just after they die, but give them a sense of a moral guide while still alive.
-
Yeah, probably ._.

That's where we have God, he tells man,man passes down.

And yet many branches of the Christian faith will call you a heretic if you claim that God speaks to you. Religion is an instrument of social control: when people claim that God speaks to them, it leads the sheep away from established dogma, which breaks social control. Has God ever spoken to you? What makes the preacher so special as to say that God speaks to him? Nothing. He chose the profession, God didn't choose him. He just says that God tells him the word in order to add weight to his ridiculous views. No one hear on Earth can speak for God. That's not just me speaking as an atheist, the story of Adam and Eve conveys the same exact message: only God can have any knowledge of the divine plan or the truth or whatever you want to call it. Morality, or what you call God, is inside you. All religion does is lead you away from your own moral compass, and they convince the sheep they are right by saying "if you don't believe this, you'll go to Hell". What is Hell? I haven't seen it, no one else has seen it. Why should I assume it exists?

I didn't say God told me personally,
And established dodgma was christianity
Then some crazy pagans came along.
And came up with their theories.
And led sheep away from then established dogma.
Before claiming yourself to be the established dogma. -
Actually those events happened in reverse order, paganism existed before Christianity. If you mean to say I am a pagan, that could not be farther from the truth. Paganism is in fact much closer to Christianity than it is to atheism, humanism, or any other secular philosophy. Paganism and Christianity both share the chief characteristic of appealing to the irrational and superstitious. Secular philosophy such as atheism does no such thing. As far as established dogma goes, I will return to the invention of Heaven and Hell. Personally I find it very hard to have a strong established doctrine without sprinkling in irrational fear. Seeing as how atheists don't say "believe this or you'll go to Hell", the chances of us having a Christian-like stranglehold on civilization is not likely. As I say, I'm not trying to convert anyone, I'm trying to deconvert people away from the irrational fear and superstition of organized religion so that they can find their own path and better themselves as human beings.

I think that we can believe what we want to believe and not have anyone dawdling around saying it's fake. I'm not trying to be mean or nothing, but just debating. I believe when you die you reincarnate except you don't become better you just become a person. After you've reincarnated, let's say 15 times, then you go to Heaven. That's not nessesarily the Catholic belief but it is a belief. I do believe in Heaven and Hell and God and the Devil, Satan. But I don't believe the Devil's name is Satan. I believe the Devil was a bragging angel and God sent him down to Hell. Where he stayed and bad people go. Like snakes and murdurers.

And yes, I did just get
