I trusted him
I opened my bible
It opened to Isaiah 34:2
Nothing can make me stay now -

UnLoving NewbieI've been struggling to keep my faith for a while now. I finally just put it in the lord's hands to make me stay. And then I opened to that verse. -_- Just...wow

He will totally destroy them,
he will give them over to slaughter. -

UnLoving NewbieYeah I expected to open to something like "The Lord loves his people...blah blah...." idk something that would replenish my faith. Instead I open to "I am angry with you people. I'm going to slaughter you and lay your blood over the mountains."

You constantly tell others to be respectful and then you say s--- like that and think it's okay. -
The punishment for sin is death. But if you believe and trust in Jesus you will be saved. God's wrath will not fall upon you. Of course God is angry with all nations. They don't want to accept God's gift and they choose to ignore Jesus.
I see the verse as an encouragement and I hope you will too :) Even though God is angry, he is patient and loving. We continuously disobey Him and do what we want. We become angry with God. Often people say, "If I was God I'd make something or other legal etc". We can't even manage our own lives. How the heck would we manage the entire universe, all the people, animals, plants etc? It's wrong to judge and question God like that.
I understand that at times it's difficult to keep faith, but try and persevere. Tough times allow us to persevere and grow in our faith.

Feldspar NewbieYou could still be Christian and not be so devoted to it if that makes much sense. That's what most people do. Just try to be a good person! :)
