It is not!!!
-
UnLoving NewbieOk good
We're studying religions in school and I knew like NOTHING out of the Christian packet and like everything in the Islam packet -
No. Knowledge is power.
-
UnLoving NewbieBut shouldn't I have more knowledge in my own religion?
-
As long as that information doesn't steer you away from your current beliefs, I don't see why not.
-
many true Christians did not know much about their religion :)
-
UnLoving NewbieOkay thanks guys :)
I still felt kinda weird about it, but you're right; if it doesn't affect my beliefs, it doesn't hurt to know about it. -
"many true Christians did not know much about their religion"
That's very true. I was Christian until I actually started looking at what I was believing. -
UnLoving Newbie*Closes Islam book* 0_0
I think I'll take this back to the library.... -
What where you believing Bob?
-
Your religion doesn't want you to have knowledge, just obedience. This may be true of all religion, but I find this to be especially true in Protestant Christianity and particularly among evangelicals. Christian "fundamentalists" often don't know the fundamentals of their religion and are really just using it to push their own agenda.

UnLoving NewbieWait. Dude. ._.
What.
If you were Christian, don't you see that believing will gain you everything, but you'll lose nothing if he isn't real?
Just saying. -
UnLoving NewbieThanks tongue :)
I'll consider all of your views, thanks people :) -
unloving, I suggest you look up Pascal's wager and the logical fallacies associated.
