All religions claim to be superior.
These claims obviously contradict each other.
Millions or billions may believe, including your parents. Being raised delusional does not make your delusions any more based in reality.
Personal experiences with specific prophets and other transcendent intelligent beings are seen in all of society among every religious affiliation. These are called hallucinations.
Religious claims have the burden of proof. You cannot prove that something does not exist. You cannot prove that you are not controlled by potato. If something does exist, you should be able to prove it or at least have a shred of evidence. By your logic, you are controlled by potato; you cannot prove that potato is not controlling you.
The worst atrocities were all committed in the name of religion. If you worship your leader (the Pope, Hitler, Stalin, Mao ect.), you are participating in religion. the religious affiliation of the leader does not have to match the affiliations of the followers. religions are just cults with power.
The truth is, no religious, non-abstract claims have ever been proven to be true. Otherwise scientists would have easily accepted them as theories. Theories, like evolution, are as certain as a claim can get. In science, there are no certainties. That is the beauty of the trial towards reality. Everything is subject to change upon further proof.
If no religion is superior, by logic, is not the default no religion? Denying the above would only further point out the delusion of religion. Doing so would result in logical fallacies.
Welcome to the real world everybody. -
My parents allowed me to be in any religion I want, this is their exact words
"You are big enough to decide what you want to believe in now remember we all believe in the same God, we just have different views on our Gods"
Which explains why me and my dad were Christians but not anymore.
I love how my parents told me to choose what religion, if any, I want -

I would be dead right now if Jesus wasn't here with me. No joke I am still contemplating suicide but God is holding me back from doing that. Know if my parents would open their eyes a little more to see me better than my life would be better. But right now God is helping me. All I can do is stay with Him. Do you guys understand? I hope you do cause' it seems like a lot of depressed people come here.

I don't understand at all actually.
Belief in religion is belief in immortality. Life is infinite and you will live forever in paradise.
No belief in religion means that this is your only life. Life is short and fragile. Once you're gone you're gone so make the best of it you can. Death is the end. Zip. Gone. Blank. There is nothing to look forward to. No paradise and no endless torture. It's the end. -
you still have to die to get that immortality though.
-
I understand what you mean. Sometimes it feels like God is the only one listening. Especially when no one else will.
-
So what if you die? Life is just this miserable waiting room for paradise according to religion.
-
Yes, but also according to religion, you have to meet certain requirements to get into paradise. (Not defending it, just saying it. I personally don't believe in the whole requirements thing.)
-
I don't think we know or care when we die.
