For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:18-19 RSV)
Clearly the Old Testament is to be abided by until the end of human existence itself. None other then Jesus said so. -
please read the rest of the chapter......

I did.
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place." (Matthew 5:17 NAB) -

Simply put: if you are going to be a Bible thumper and cling to something because it is in the Bible, you DO NOT get to pick and choose what is right in the Bible and what is wrong in the Bible.

Genesis has two beginnings, the first is the one where Lilith is involved, but the second beginning interrupts it. Read it carefully. I believe it is the first and second chapters.
Even in religions classes, they make it clear that Jesus does NOT nullify any part of the Old Testament and that ALL teaching in it are still valid. -
All but one law!

UnLoving Newbie@all of you who are claiming existence of this Lillith person -
Give me the actual verse. Not a website. Not "Genesis" because I'm pretty sure the bible only starts one way. -

I agree!! -
Genesis 1:26-28
26 Then God said, Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.
27 So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
28 God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.
Then Genesis 2:4-25 is ANOTHER story that goes from the beginning. When you read all of Genesis 1 and 2, you will notice how Genesis 1 seems incomplete. That is where Lilith is mentioned IN THE ORIGINAL, UNALTERED text of the Bible. The Bible has SINCE BEEN ALTERED AND CHANGED SO THAT THE CHURCH COULD DENY THE EXISTENCE OF LILITH. -
I just read Genesis 1 and 2 and I see nothing that even hints at the existence of Lilith.
-
It has a part missing. It's more obvious in the original Hebrew text, but if you pay REALLY close attention to the diction you can tell.
-
What version are you reading from?
-
New International Version
-
Only the old King James version of the Bible is right. All the other versions are wrong.....
