im atheist/agnostic. honestly I dont even know.
1. I don't believe in a god but if I see very strong EVIDENCE for it then I might change my mind (no the bible doesn't count so don't bring it up)
2. I think its idiotic how some people think it's impossible to be a moral good person without believing in a god.
3. I also think it's idiotic how a serial killer who claims to be Christian goes to heaven, but a good atheist doesn't
4. I believe that religion should be kept apart from politics because not everyone is Christian. It seems that Chtistians are only for religion in politics when its thier OWN religion.
5. Alot of the things that are "sins" are just part of being human. why would an all powerful god make us be able to experience human urges and then punish us for satisfying them only for us to kiss ass to him and beg for forgivenes. Theres nothing wrong with wanting sex, theres nothing wrong with wanting things, theres nothing wrong with wanting money, love, appreciation ect as long as youre willing to work for those things.
6. Religion has stymied the growth of scientific discovery. nuff' said. so while you're just sitting there praying for a cure, there are pepole that actually get off their ass and actually do something about it.

Well, I am going to point out for 3.
No, IF that person is still killing people when he got "saved" he did not get saved! He needs to repent and stop, turn himself in!

So an all powerful being sacrificed himself to himself so that we can maybe be saved from his punishment of never ending torture as long as we deny the logic and reasoning he gifted us with and believe in his existence that he refuses to prove?
Something about that sounds fishy. -
What if an atheist lived by what you call "Christian virtues" but doesn't really believe in God?

I'm pretty much the same as you, belief wise on this Saph.
It just doesn't make sense to me why he would make us the way we are just to have us fail? It's pointless and moronic. -

we'll all find out when we die, but too bad we can't tell after. I believe in reincarnating, however you spell it. But yesh, um.... i think nobody really goes to Hell unless they choose to hate God and His people. I think when you get reborn again as another, you don't remember.
I think that people who hate God and His people go straight to Hell when they die. It's their choice, but still. Maybe He'll give the person another chance. -
