500 years ago, the bible was interpreted to hang, burn, decapitate, or torture anyone who wasn't Christian.
2,000 years ago it was interpreted to say that women were property, children were property, and rabbits had hooved feet.
Please tell me HOW THE f--- anything in the bible is supposed to be "interpreted". Because as far as I can tell, there is no right way. In fact, our current generation is the least violent one so far. And that's including fire bombings, Westboro, and gay deconversion camps. -
Because people are idiotic evil....some other words I shouldn't say
-
thats just how the world is. Words get twisted, people are crazy.
-
So you're right because you say so? Their bible was more accurate than yours is.
-
Wut.
Did I ever say I was right? Maybe I'm not, Maybe I am. You can't prove it, I can't prove it. -
My post was in response to Damask.
And in reply to your first comment, after 2,000 years why should anyone adhere to any ancient religion then? Nothing in them can be trusted. -
oh.
sigh.
They just do. It gives them hope, comfort. You know, it could even be true. Something so big, so broad, so detailed and important has to have at least an ounce of truth. -
Take pre colonial history. The first week is the origin of all religion. Harry Potter is detailed, that doesn't make it real.

Christians believe the bible is real.
Get over it. -
And I can point out how wrong it is. Your point?
-
Fine point it out then.
It's not going to change our beliefs.
I should hope >.> Some people are easily persuade. -
Just to point something out:
>Christians believe the bible is real.
>I can point out how it's wrong.
>Go ahead, it won't change our beliefs.
So do you really believe the bible is real? Or are you just determined to believe the bible no matter what? -
What's the difference there?
