Dude, it's a video game. All I'm saying is people who play the game aren't going against the bible by playing it. I'm not saying religious people are dumb or that he guy who wrote that is dumb because he is religious; I'm saying what he wrote is really dumb because what he wrote was basically "This video game is against the bible because it encourages children to be creative and mocks God with squares". I'm not laughing at my own religion by saying that you can't mock God with squares.
Let me let you in on something: if I was an atheist, I wouldn't be on here. I wouldn't care what other people's religions are. Because if I was an atheist I wouldn't belie in any of it so I wouldn't care. If I didn't believe in Heaven and hell, I wouldn't attempt to change people's beliefs when they're all going to die and that's the end and how they lived doesn't affect anything.
But I don't believe that. I believe in Heaven and hell and I try to influence people's beliefs because I care about them. Frankly, this makes me wonder why you're...like...here. I'm not saying that to be offensive or anything; it's just that if I was an atheist, I wouldn't give a crap. Anyway, I'm just saying I don't follow any beliefs of atheism, because if I did, I wouldn't be here.
"Follow the bible or burn in hell."
You say that as if God plans to send you to some kind of evil dungeon if you don't believe in him. If you believe in him, you go to Heaven an live in paradise for all of eternity. But if you're not worshipping God, you're worshipping the devil. So that means you'd rather live with the devil for all of eternity. Ok. So...yeah that's hell. God doesn't send you there; the devil tricks you into coming there.
Dude you just ignored everything I just said about Minecraft. -
You mocked him for his beliefs. He believes that minecraft is evil because it promotes unnatural design and the freedom of sexual expression. AKA, blocks.
You laughed at that. You found it funny.
You then turned around and demanded that if I'm not worshiping your God that I'm worshiping your Satan.
He adamantly stands by something illogical and is trying to persuade other people to support his beliefs because of it.
You adamantly stand by something illogical and are trying to persuade other people to support your beliefs because of it.
I didn't lose what you were trying to say. You just never made the connection. -
Yes, and I explained why I think his "belief" on that is wrong. I do that all the time. So does everyone. Example: someone believes that X is the best movie ever but I think Y is the best movie ever, so I am mocking their belief and stating why I think it is wrong. Just because this person is basing their little Minecraft theory off of Christian beliefs doesn't mean I'm going to automatically agree with it. If they can give some actual reasons based off of Christianity that actually make sense and aren't...dumb...I would probably agree, depending on their reason. I'm not just going to automatically agree because he claims that his ideas are based off of Christianity. And by this I'm not saying that I don't agree with Christianity; I 100% do. But this person's reasons are not valid reasons based off of Christianity.
I wasn't demanding you do that...but it's what I believe. Evil is the opposite of good. Satan is the opposite of God. If you're not on the "good team", you're on the "bad team". There's no medium in between good and bad.
No I see the "connection" here.
But you said Minecraft is the devil's work and I gave my reasons why I don believe it is and you didn't give any reasoning back. -
Hello? Are you gonna answer?
-
Actually I was busy doing other things.
Once again, you're missing my point.
You laughed at something religious because you found the logic fallible.
We laugh at everything religious because we find the logic fallible.
You don't seem to be able to grasp the concept that other people don't believe in your God. And that every "reason" you have ever given is based on your belief. So why should we even heed your words when your defense isn't even acknowledged? -
If you don't want to hear about my beliefs, just tell me you don't care and leave the thread. Obviously I'm going to back up my religion when you doubt it. But if you don't want to hear me back it up, leave.
I wasn't doubting my religion by laughing at that article; I was laughing because that article lacked actual explanations to why it is against the Christian religion. But it failed to give any logical reasons, therefore I still believe that it is false to say that Minecraft is against the Christian religion. -
"I was laughing because that article lacked actual explanations"
You lack explanation. Your fall back is invariably "That's what I believe".
You sound to the rest of us, how he sounds to you. -
Well then why don't you tell me you're not interested in hearing what I have to say and then leave so you don't have to hear it?
Why do you even listen to me if you don't want to hear about my beliefs? -
