First off, I'd like to start with a story. I'm writing this on a cell phone in the back of a moving car so please excuse any uncharacteristic spelling errors.
A monk and an Eskimo were standing together on a ship. The Eskimo asks the monk, "excuse me sir, why are you traveling way out here?"
The monk replied, "to spread the word of God. It is our duty as followers of the faith to spread the word. That way people can choose between believing in God and an eternity in paradise, or denying our Lord and an eternity in hell."
The monk pondered this for a moment before asking, "if someone had never heard of your God and had still lived a good life, would they still burn for eternity without ever having the chance for paradise? Or would they instead be judged for their deeds?"
The monk considerex this and said, "well I guess they would be judged for their actions."
The Eskimo mo then looked at the monk and said, "so by hearing about your god we have to follow or burn. By not hearing about him we only have to be good people. Why then dix you tell me?" -
I will admit that this story is based off of one assumption. The assumption that if someone had never heard of God that they would not be faulted.
If you agree with this assumption, then the story stands for itself. If you disagree, then you are saying your God is an aszhole that forces people in to following him anx punishes those who dont and those who never had the choice equally. That's pretty f---ed up.
Further more, wouldn't that make God a terrorist? He sends his followers out to threaten and pressgang others in to his sect, or burn in agony if they don't. -

Do you know of general revelation and divine revelation?

The words are familiar. Do tell more.

Don't bother. I had a chance to read more thoroughly.
This is the difference between reality and faith. If humans right now lost everything we ever had. If we were reduced down to sticks and stones. No literature. No standing structures. Back to nothing. We would eventually make all of our scientific discoveries again. That's the difference between science and faith. Science doesn't need us to exist. It's always there whether you acknowledge it or not. But if we had to relearn everything, your book about a talking snake and a man walking on water.... would never exist again.
