First of all, I'm really sorry.
When the world was first created, everything was perfect. Sin was brought into the world when Adam and Eve ate the fruit from the forbidden tree. They ate the fruit because they were tempted by the Devil (Satin).
All things good are from God, all things bad are from the Devil. God does not stop everything bad from happening. Sin unravels itself (from satin) and causes suffering and heartache.
I can not know exactly why God didn't intervene and prevent your family from dying. I'm sorry. -
Sin comes from a fabric now.

@Alleria... I feel for you, I too have a situation where I do wonder whether God exists or not and why He didn't stop a certain situation from happening if he even cared about about Us

but i believe that god do exist and there is a saying in my community,"god listen to every one but you need to be patient & soon he will make up for what you have lost".
so, deer,soon in your life you will find a wonderful person who will make your life full of happiness.
i know family is very important to us and i do understand your feeling but i pray that he will make you happy again and your life shall be full of homely people and all kind of happiness.

Everything god has ever done has been to fix the mess created by Satan with one conversation. I think we can all deduce who the higher power is in juduo-christian theology.hail Satan everybody. It takes a Christian to turn someone Satanist.

I was making a funny. People keep saying that Satan is the root of all evil and that an apparently all knowing all loving And all powerful god has allowed that evil to exist. I'm just poimting out where that line of thinking will lead. Hail Satan everybody. He's obviously the higher power.

I believe that a god exists, but I'm not really sure what he's doing and what his plans are. So, sorry. Can't answer your question.
