Infinity NoviceSo this is branching out pretty much from the death sentence for planned murders and such.
Do you think that anyone truly deserves to die. Let's say a person committed planned murders of 40 innocent people. Would you want them to be sentenced for death or life in prison? What if it was some one like Bin Laden? Should he then deserve torture?
I think the death sentence could be necesary in slim cases;as in a sereal killer who comitted over 15 murders intentionally, and was not mentally ill.
If you knew what you were doing and you still did it willingly, with numerous dead, I think you deserve the death sentence.
Although, if you did do murders or were ill, I think you should serve life in prison. But there are some gray areas dealing with the ill that they many need extra supervision.
I don't think torture is reasonable. It could be considered as inhumane and against the constitution's right of freedom of speech, in my oppinion
Yes, there are gray areas for many cases, I understand that, but what do you think, and for what reasons? -
There is a certain moral hypocrisy to executing someone because they themselves have killed. I personally am opposed to the death penalty because the legal system is such a mess that the wrong person is sometimes executed, and also because it is more expensive to have an inmate on death row than in with the regular prison population. The hypocrisy annoys me, but there are some cases where I feel deep inside that those people deserved death, specifically the 12 Nazi war criminals who were executed. Bin Laden's evil wasn't quite on that level, nor were his actions even, but we almost had to kill him. If he were to just sit behind bars for life he would become a sort of galvanizing figure the way Mandela was behind bars. The truth is that morally speaking, it doesn't matter either way whether Bin Laden was killed or taken captive.

There's a lot of people in this world who deserves to die but i'm not a fan of Death penalty.

I can name a few people who deserve to be tortured, but I feel a bit on the ugly side when talking about death penalty.

1. Believing that NO ONE should be killed, regardless of who they are.
2. Believing that only serial murderers should be killed. -

Death isn't such a bad thing. I'd rather die than rot away in a filthy cell by myself for the rest of my life.

cer1992 Newbie@Trickster His grudge towards me was bigger than anyone else's on here. Still, everything he said was way too extreme to just let go.
