cer1992 NewbieLet's say this change takes place in our world. Suddenly, every female human being get their physical strength increased by a factor of 10. For example, if a woman is able to lift up to, say, 50 pounds with both hands, then she would now be lifting around 500 lbs. Women will still physically be the same size they always were and won't bulk up to be like bodybuilders.
Though the strength of these women are now far above that of even a male bodybuider, it still isn't enough to consider it "comic-book" level strength, menaing they will not be picking up cvehicles, crushing metal, or inadvertently destroying whatever is in their path. However, if a woman hit a man, he'll for sure be out of the count.
As for future childbirths, only the female baby will recieve this enhancement, while the male's strength will be normal, as this change applies to no males whatsoever.
How does the world as we know it change? -
Girls definately would not be discriminated as much, thats for sure...

In any case of gained power, there would more likely than not be an abuse of it, and men would be of lower status because of it. I mean, just imagine how the feminazis would become.
I would hate that kind of world, honestly. I consider myself an equalist. Though it's true that the majority of the female gender aren't buff, super strong body builders, it doesn't mean we aren't human and don't have rights.
And now I could go into a rant about protection of individual rights, but I think you get the picture. xP -
cer1992 NewbieI don't know about everybody else, but I, for one, believe I can survive in this new world. After all, women are only getting their strength increased 10x what they can lift now. It isn't like they're as strong as Superman or even Spider-Man.
Besides, aside from my Mom when I was a little boy, it's rare for me to get hit by a woman. I try my hardest to treat them fairly, and don't consider them "delicate" or "second-class", which some of us guys (but not me) do.
However, rape would definitely be virtually non-existent, which would absolutely be great.
I also feel that since females tend to be less aggressive than us males (due to lower levels of testosterone), the world will likely be a more peaceful place.
That is, if cooler heads prevailed. -
NeonHedgehog NewbieI'm starting to like you, Ceri! I just HATE how they treated women back then! All women do is cook, clean, take care of kids! They couldn't lean to read, write, and all that! Just cooking, cleaning, and everything else a it of kids hate. Of it was still like this, I'd make a horrible wife! I don't know how to cook (Nor am I good!), if I had to clean the clothes, they'd wont even be clean! I'm not very good with kids, and I REALLY like reading! Mostly, fantasies!

Personally, I find this entire thread offensive. Not just personally, but to both genders.
First of all, you are only attributing negative connotations to one physical feature. Strength.
Second of all, you are grossly underestimating the difference of a factor of 10. A person at 105 lbs (smaller female), has a registered punch at approximately 350 pounds per square inch. In the reality you're talking about, a woman would be able to hit with over a ton and a half of force per square inch. That's more than enough to cave in a skull or snap a neck. Now give that power to women. An entire gender characterized by emotional imbalance and a Napoleon complex. Men would either die out or be inslaved.
Now let's talk about your assumptions on aggressiveness. Physically, they are less aggressive because of physical ability. But 80% of marital abuse is caused by women. We only hear about the other 20% more often because guys aren't supposed to complain about it.
Women complain that men can't commit, when 75% of divorces are enacted by women. 70% of all children in divorce cases go to the woman even if the man's case is more valid. There are documented cases of women lying about who the father of their child is so they can collect child fare. More children are abused in mother only households than any other type.
Do your research before you make assumptions like this. The world isn't always what you think it is. Women are manipulative, hormonal, eccentric, and psychotic.
I would never want to live in a world where women are 10X stronger than they already are. They're dangerous and unpredictable enough already. -

Yes. Body builders who have trained for years and are usually 230 lbs of solid muscle. Now give that to the 105 lb teenager who blames all guys for her boyfriend breaking up with her.
