Because you have to melt the ice cube to eat it, but that's turning it into a liquid which means you have to drink it. O.o my head hurts now...

Unless you swallow it whole...poor tummy that has to digest that. xD

Or you can chew on it.

I crush it up while sipping up whatever I'm drinking :P when its crushed enough I swallow it with the drink.
I like to chew on ice :P -
In the summer I get a shot glass and crush up ice so I have a sort of "jagged drink". xD
