I don't like to use it because I always imagine Sisen standing there with a sad look on his face.

So you're letting a single media figure influence your judgement over something? I use that word all the time. Infact, Ting's post is gay. My post is gay. I try to usually keep my personality gay.
The word gay originally meant happy and giddy. Then the term was applied to homosexuals. My only question is who was the first person to connect homosexuality with happiness? And how did that spin off into an insult? I would personally agree that homosexuals are generally happy people. Don't let the ignorant people in this world turn something good into an insult. And the only way that they can turn it into one is if you take offense to it.
Tough tits kiddo. Move on and join the rest of us in being gay. -
Not just him. It's family and friends too. -.- I just don't like seeing people upset especially when they're good people. One of my friends is real nice, and she's bi. But she looked sad all the time and it was upsetting. A girl at lunch got upset because Cody called her a lesbian (he was joking but still...), and it turns out she's bi too. So she got upset by it and he got yelled at by three people at the table including her.
I just don't like when it's overused mostly. I had to listen to an entire hour of two boys making fun of some kid by calling him gay, then they made fun of their friend just because he was nice to the kid. It was flat out rude.
