Thread Topic: Is this a metaphor or an idiom
-
Life is like being stuck in a monkey suit, there's no way out. So you may be laughed and pointed at in emmbaressment, that doesn't mean you'll never find a friend. So what I'm saying here is, no matter how bad of a mess your in, pull through and keep trying and NEVER, EVER give up.

A simile, actually, because you used the word like.
Life is [i]like[/b] a monkey suit. -
.>. wow i'm dumb xD
like HAHAHA -
A metaphor is a comparison not using like or as; "Her hair is straw in my hands"
A simile is a comparison the does use like or as; "her hair is like silk"
An idiom is sentence that has a meaning different from the words used to discribe;
Music to my ears = something you wanted to hear.
Think you can figure this out now? -
I actually think it's just a saying the uses a simile, not the whole thong being a simile.
And my post above was a late one. -
When I look at it now I think the first sentence is a comparison, maybe.
-
Whole thong?
-
*whole thing
