Thread Topic: Why is psychology turning into offbeat?
-
It's annoying.
Everyone just jumps on the band wagon.
It's entirely unnecessary... -
So people can't put questions here anymore?
-
It depends on the question, I think. Questions like, "What Would You Do If I Died?" or "What Would You Say If You Meant Me?" are just silly, unnecessary questions with entirely obvious answers. People just keep jumping on the band wagon of pointlessness.
Let the speeches of "I can do whatever I want" or "I have rights" commence! Sure, yes you do, but don't use them so ridiculously. :/ -
*Met...
-
Do you guys think it's better if we make are own thread for all those questions or should we just make one big thread for all of those?
-
I think that if one person makes a thread for a question you want to ask, just ask the question in their thread.
So while there is a different thread for every question, each question only needs one thread. -
i agree

commiejulie NewbieFrom what I've seen, offbeat is the Soap and Hangout thread.
-
it wasnt always like that. it used to be random conversations and mass conversations.
Anyone could join. There were no "private" threads or massive soaps. People didnt burry their faces in just one thread. They circulated around more. It was much better back then. -
People have left, new people have come. In a way, the newer people outnumber the older: in some ways, the create the rules.
Though I agree, Psych, Religion, Politics and International are the only Forums a really use. Psych is getting rather annoying and offbeat seems meaningless (or at least the majority of conversations seem to be). -
I blame the soaps and the sex.
(sadly I'm partially the cause of both)
