Hm, that is an excellent question. Perhaps it's means that no one knows you... It depends on how it's used.

To me,you can't really be a nobody,cause like,a nobody is a somebody in a way,if you think about it.
But I think what people mean when they say that,is that like,oh you got no life,no purpose,something along those lines.Which is untrue.Everyone has a purpose one way or another. -

it also could mean that your not popular and you are not out there like participating in anything big... -

The definition of popular is "regarded with favor, approval, or affection by people in general". So, I suppose it means most people like you, but, you know, people not liking you doesn't necessarily mean you're a "nobody".

When you say nobody, I think of the character from the Graveyard Book.

Normal is NOT in my vocabulary, I don't know anyone who's "normal".
