I want you to imagine yourself as an adult, in the future. You have a few beautiful children who you are proud of in every way. But one day, you decided to wear something other than a long sleeved shirt and your children saw the scars. Now imagine trying to explain that to them.
I remember when my family members would explain things like this to me. I would stare up at them in horror, or become curious and want to try it out myself.
That's probably what any other child would feel/do as well.
So stop now before the scars become too noticeable. It can really hurt your future. What I did was I always pictured myself having to explain the scars to a couple of young children of mine and just having to see them stare up at me in horror or ask, "Can I do that too?" like I had to my own family members.
That, and having slipped up at school. Everyone would stare at me as I went down the hallways. It was humiliating, and I had to stop or else the looks and even teasing would have continued. -
i would go talk to someone like an adult aka your parent, aunt, uncle,or grandparents,or even your older cousins...if you feel like there is no need to let a family member know then go see a docter(that could work too)

I have a friend who burned herself. She only did it once, but that was enough to screw up her life. It got infected and it was very serious. She doesn't know if she's gonna live.

I've cut myself before but it eventually gets t or at least for me it did. It gets annoying when my mom kept mentioning it and telling me not to scratch them

*Facepalm* I don't feel I made my point very clear. . . Cuts can get inffected just as well as burns can.

they are already noticeable.

Then stop. Find a different way to cope.
I used to peel skin off my hands until they were raw and bloody. I'm trying to kick the habit and I rarely ever do it now
My way of coping is that I draw. Pick an outlit.
draw
write music
sing
punch pillows/punching bags
yell
find a hobby
sports
ANYTHING is better than hurting yourself. At least skin peeling doesn't leave scars (okay no, the area I picked don't leave scars, depending on where you do it, it WILL.)
