Apparently poetry "isn't cool" anymore? xD
I used to be in this girl scout-ish type thing called Keepers, and at one meeting, I wrote down my favorite poem ever written on the inside cover of my notebook. or at least, the one part I've memorized:
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
Sings the song without words
And never stops at all.
A so-called "friend" (yeeeaaah...we're not such good friends anymore...) looked over to see what I was writing, then cracked up. I asked her why she was laughing, and apparently, poetry is considered lame in today's world. :/
