Thread Topic: advocating for yourself with mental health professionals

my therapist told me i should do group therapy and do less one-on-one sessions, but I know this is the opposite of what i need. I won't feel comfortable speaking up in group, I know myself, i won't be able to get anything out of it.
yet im having to argue with them about this.
this is not the first time something like this has happened to me; it isn't even close to being the second. and it is so frustrating. -
like she wants to go to once a month therapy, and then group every other week. I KNOW I won't feel comfortable talking about what I need to talk about during group.
So this is day two of me calling the office to argue with them <3
I'm going to document how f---ing difficult this is. I called yesterday and spoke to someone on the phone but got 0 information and basically was told to call back ahahahah -
lady, i don't know if you know this about me or not
but i do not have a stubborn bone in my body and i 100% will just give up and not do therapy. -
if I weren't like one particularly bad day away from [redacted], I wouldn't f---ing bother
