So I don't really have a lot of friends in real life, and I sort of wanted to change that. In other words I know a lot of people, but I'm not really close to any of them. Part of it is because I am an enormous introvert and I am awful at conversational skills. Any time I try to say, "So...how have you been doing?" it's just tremendously awkward and I want to run and hide in the nearest hole. And I'm tired of everyone I know having their own circle of friends while I'm huddled in the corner by myself eating my slice of pizza (don't ask me where the pizza came from). Is there some other way to build friendships than conversations? I know that one bonding tool is doing things together with your friends but I don't play with dolls any more and I never liked video games, so...HELP
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks ^~^ -
It seems that you have problem with your Inner Game, ie confidence. When you see a group having fun, just go near them and within 3 seconds say, "Looks like the party is here!"
Fake your confidence and don't think too much. After that, continue the conversation.

Okay thanks. I'm just so socially awkward it will take some practice.
