Well, I would accept them as long as they're happy and it's their life they can do what they feel is the best for them. It would obviously hurt my feelings a little bit but I will accept them and love them for who they are.
I don't really feel that any problem in life is so immense that people have to kill themselves rather than facing it. -
1. Regardless of what my parents say, I would accept them for who they are, because they are being themselves. We all have choices that we choose to make. I would accept fully and I would be understanding. To me there is nothing wrong with it.
2. I do see your point, and I think bullying people because of there choices is wrong. It's the person that is bullying, that is in the wrong. -
I didn't choose the questions you intelligent little humans. It was either this or Donald Trump.
.o. thank you all for your answers, they're of great help. -
1. Okay so here we go it'd probably be along the lines of
a. same
b. thank you for telling me this I'm so glad that you feel comfortable sharing with me
c. we need to talk about things though because if you're lucky enough to have actually useful and accurate sex ed it's probably based around heterosexuality and the internet isn't always trustworthy so my main goal is that you're always safe
2. Like everyone else has said, bullying isn't dependent solely on sexuality, so it's hard to make a statement on that. I think the mentality towards it is slowly changing, though, so it may be somewhat easier to avoid in the future. Hopefully.
Also if anyone bullies you for something like that or anything else really I will show up and fight for you. Right now. In my pajamas. Because that's not cool. -
:3 ty.
Thank you lovely munchkins for your information. I have already surveyed the rest of the munchkin battalion I had to for the data.
Your input was appreciated.
Let this die now. -
I would actually be proud of my child for being brave enough to tell me because telling my mom that I was a boy was literally the hardest thing I ever had to do. It's like an internal battle between who the general population wants you to be and who you need to be. You should always win that battle because your wellbeing and happiness is worth more than other people's pointless opinions. Yes, things will get to you, but in the end, they should be proud of who they are. They're being themselves, and you should want nothing more than that.

I'm sorry. I didn't see the post where you said you wanted this thread to die. ;;
-
I would totally accept it. If the kid is still polite, kind, and thinks I'm the best mom ever, I won't be a jerk about it. I'd probably be proud of them for telling me. :)
Yeah a lot of people in my class at school think that being gay is a sin, and people who are gay are dishonoring God, which is all very well and fine and BULLs---. -
Interesting, I see.
-
Sorry. Didn't see the whole "let it die munchkins" thing.
-
Yeah, it's fine. ^~^"
