Thread Topic: Why does having someone else in the room

I want to believe it's something reassuring like "there's a better chance that the two of us can fight off a threat." Please don't tell me it's actually because it gives us a 50% chance of getting away while afore mentioned threat murders the other guy or something.
(do actually tell me that if that's it) -
Its human nature
"Safety in numbers"
The more people are with you, the less chance it is that you will be harmedModerator -
I just feel more secure when I'm with a group. Makes me feel more safe. Kinda like the safety in numbers thing Kish said.

I'm the same way. I used to have a huge fear of sleeping in a room by myself, and it was bad. I'd cry myself to sleep. Like Kish said, it's human nature.

I think it just makes you feel comforted to have a human there. we're social animals and by and large are more stressed out under any circumstance when we're on our own.
that and it gives you something else to think about.
and it probably doesn't hurt to rationalize it as "saftey in numbers" or "he can protect me" or "they'll eat her first" ect.
