Thread Topic: Parents jumping to conclusions

So the other day I was just sitting in a chair at our table with my hands on my chin, just relaxing and waiting... and my step-mom, or mom, sees me and says, "What's wrong?"
I say, "Nothing..."
She says, "Why are you responding like that?" as if I was giving her attitude or something.
and I am just at a loss of words... -_-
And this was one of those times when literally nothing was wrong. -
This ever happen to anyone else?
-
It happens to me all the time.
-
Well it's good to know I'm not alone. xD
-
You probably are putting out some sort of attitude, you just don't realize it. Either that or your mom is a jerk.
-
Don't worry about it though,
-
Well she's definitely not a jerk, so it's probably the latter. Either way it didn't matter a whole lot -- it blew over it like seconds, when it happened. Just annoyed me a little.
-
*so it's probably the first
-
Like sometimes you say something as a joke and they start interrogating you.
-
Stuff like that happens all the time for me. It might even be worse because I'm the oldest of four kids in my house. So yeah, I usually end up snapping every time and yelling for a few minutes.
But in the end, it's because my parents are keeping tabs on my well being. It shows they care.
