I somewhat agree with that position. The only thing we can be sure of, is the existence of our sensation. To that, the only currency to which we can accurately measure the value of our life by, is emotion. Im not ENTIRELY sure happiness is the goal, but for sure, your only real choice is emotion of some sort or another.

Happiness is, inevitably, the only goal we all constantly have. Even people who dwell on pain and misery; it meets their desires, making them happy. There is no way around the fact that humans will never desire anything more than happiness. In fact, debating the meaning of life even revolves around happiness. I personally desire to know the purpose of my existence, and the quote I posted gave me my answer, making me happy. Everything anyone has ever done has been done to gain happiness.

Or revenge. Hitler most likely didn't kill all the jews because that made him happy, but if he did I salute him.
