What counts? I have two different colors, but they're rings, not blotches.
Similar to this, but more of a bluish grey in the outer ring. -
Depending on the day, my eyes are either bright blue, gray, or bluish-green.

That's central heterochromia Selena. It's actually really common, but sectoral heterochromia is extremely rare in humans.
-
I know it's common, I see it pretty often.
Every time I look in the mirror, in fact. -
Neither Sectoral or central hetrochromia are that rare. My lil bro and oldest sister both have it. My girlfriend has it. A list of entertainment workers as long as my leg have it. Politicians get it..eeevveeryone.
while its not common in comparison to brown or blue eyes, its definitely not super rare.
What is considered extremely rare is complete hetrochromia. And the only person I know of that has that is a movie star.
Personally I don't see what all the fuss is about. Especially in the case of complete hetrochromia. I find it unattractive. Sectoral hetrochromia is alright. But central is nice.
Although its just eye color so gives a f---.
But heterochromia is extremely trendy right now so I guess we roll with it
