Um does anyone have any tricks on dealing with anxiety? I talk to a therapist once every 2nd week and I'm going to see a specialist soon but does anyone have any none medicated ways to deal with it?

In class when I get anxiety I pick at erasers

Well when I get anxiety in class I get really gittery and just start shaking and I usually end up being told to take a walk (which doesn't work very well) or I'm sent to the guidance counselor.

Don't ignore it. It builds up.

That's why my therapist wants to set me up with a specialist and I'm going. I've been trying to deal with this for a while. But I just couldn't

I stare off into outer space and tune everyone out.

I deal with anxiety quite a bit actually. I think anxiety more than anything is just overthinking, like we think of a million different ways that something can go wrong until we're just scared stiff. The only real way to conquer it is through action. They always say look before you leap, but really it is best to do the opposite anytime something makes you nervous or scared. The unknown is a monster, you don't see the things you fear for what they really are until you make the leap.
