So basically I used to have horribly low self esteem. I thought I was incredibly ugly. I was insecure. Someone could call me ugly and I would hate myself for like two weeks and it would still bother me after. But for some reason, this summer, my confidence hit a high. I love myself. I just enjoy myself as a human being. I like the way I look, and I like my personality. But now people call me self centered and egotistical because I take a lot of selfies and have high self esteem. In a society where we're taught to hate ourselves, in a society where we grow up in skin we've learned to loath, why is it bad to feel good about yourself? This probably doesn't make any sense, but since when does being happy with yourself as a person make you self obsessed?

You got it all wrong, society is what teaches you to interact with humans. Humanity is what teaches you that you're crap. Humanity was taught by the earth throwing all kinds of s--- at humanity making humanity taught by earth.
The earth teaches people to think you re crap.
