Thread Topic: My thoughts while talking to my mom

Mom: My entire life is cooking and cleaning!
Me: Then you should've gone to college
Mom: I could use some help with this
Me: I could use some help with my life but you don't see me complaining
Mom: I'm so stressed out
Me: Why? Did Kim Kardashian and Kanye break up? How tragic -_- -
Woo -_-

Domestic labor by women is very much undervalued, it's hard work but we don't see anyone advocating for their rights as unpaid workers.
/tangent
It annoys me when I wasn't told to do a job, and then I get yelled at for not doing it. Especially if it's some obscure thing like stacking wood just right, when I was told to just throw it on a pile. NO ONE TELLS ME THESE THINGS OKAY. -
IHLAOY NewbieYou sound very unsympathetic. I can't say I feel sorry.

I agree with appa. The role of homemaker is not easy one, and very often taken for granted, or abused.
And as a side thought...in the olden days when women were still trying to break into the workforce, what if laws had been made to legally protect and benifet women who retained their role, or decided to follow the path of a homemaker?
as it stands, essentially the only benifits are emotional, which leaves the role seriously shorthanded because who in the right mind would take the job?
Maybe if the people who talk about how gays are destroying traditional family, would invest some time and money into passing bills that encouraged the traditional roles of homemaker and breadwinner, their idea of family would work out much easier. -
oh and unloving: grow up.

Thank you all for your comments. I agree with all of them. Even the one above this XD

THANKSGIVING ADDITION
Mom: I spent so much money on this damn meal
Me: b----, give me a carrot and I'll be content for the rest of the month -_-
Mom: You're all doing your own damn thing while I'm working my ass off
Me: Then why did you pick a job that requires your ass to come off while working?
Me: P.S. We have lives. You don't.
Mom: Don't drink too much of that, you'll die.
Me: We're all dying -
Lol
