I hear it too often. Someone was abused by their parents, so they abuse their children. Someone was bullied last year, so they bully another person so they can feel better. Someone made a rude comment towards you, so you pass it on to everyone you meet.
If only kindness were this contagious.
I can't just immediately go from being humiliated to being altruistic, but I CAN keep from sharing that experience with others.
I've made up my mind, the cycle of cruelty stops with me.
It hurts twice as much to not spread the negativity, to compliment instead of insult, but it also heals twice as much to know that someone gets another good day, that I made their day better, or maybe even saved their life because one more person spitting on them would be what pushed them to kill themselves, and all they needed was to see a light in the tunnel.
So the next time you're treated like crap, go out and do random acts of kindness. It will reflect on you.
(Not saying you should ignore all of your problems, if you need to talk about something then please do. I'm talking about immediately turning around and doing the same thing to some random person that was done to you.) -
You are very wise and kind appay.

I agree. It's kind of like the rule: Treat people like you want to be treated.

I spread kindness wherever I go. I never get it back though. People these days can be rude...Really rude.
