Because creepy people with tech skills can track down your IP with your emailand they will find the face you log into most frequently (for most, it's at home) and show up at your house and possibly kidnap/rape/kill/hold you hostage/keep you in a torture room for years. This kinda s--- happens a lot more than you think . I don't blame people for getting paranoid.
Also, the mobile version works fine for me. I don't see the big fuss. -
