No not really. They have an actually electoral college. And in that college that hace a certain amount of people. The votes between the electoral voters adds up to the magic number of 275.
The state votes go for things like the supreme court judge, representatives, sheriffs, etc. but we dont actually vote for the president. -

straight out whites-meaning nothing but European ancestry comprise only 63.4% of our country last year. now, mostly those folks are from ireland and uk.
but there's a s--- ton of Germans, Spaniards, Finnish Ukrainian and Jewish folks in that demographic. of the non-caucasions
african americans comprise 13.1%
Caribbeans-note that I'm lumping all of them together even though that's not even close to right- comprise 2%
Asians are 7%
Hispanics are 16%
