Thread Topic: do you have a problem with gays and lesbians?

dw1996 NewbieIf you do, you should go f--- yourself. Seriously, what's everyone's problem? Why does it matter who someone loves or has sex with or what gets them off? I get off on girls with braces. Why doesn't anyone have a problem with that? Seriously, all the gay hate is really stupid, and the same goes for bi hate. No one is asking you to be gay or bi, so just f--- off.

I love you man.

I don't have a problem with gay or lesbians... I know someone who's a lesbian. So it doesn't matter. People who hate gay and lesbians should just mind their own damn business. It's not their life or their relationship.

I'm cristian so I think it's wrong. I believe God made us to marry and have kids. And to fall in love with the opposite sex.
Although I think it's wrong I believe the people shouldn't be made fun of. They should be treated fairly and with love. However, I don't believe homosexuals should be allowed to adopt children or be married. Marriage should be the coming together of a man and woman when they unite together as one. I also believe it would be unfair to adopt children if you are homosexual. They would most likely be made fun of and would grow up with a heap of unnecessary stress. -
dw1996 NewbieChildren who are raised by gays or lesbians really don't turn out any differently than the rest of us. Did you see the Youtube video about the kid who has two moms? He turned out pretty normal. He's basically what every parent wants from their kid.
Also I have a problem with the idea that it is wrong to pick on gays but it is okay to keep from getting married or having kids. It's wrong to harrass gays and lesbians because they are human like the rest of us. If they are just like us, then wouldn't you think they'd also like to get married and have children? -
The bible also says it's okay to kill all non-believers, whether they did anything wrong or not.
I think homosexuals should have the same rights as everyone else
Religion and Government should stay the hell out of people's business, if they want to get married, it's their business what they do.
And if they want kids, who are we to say no? The only reason they'd be made fun of is because children are raised by bigots. -
My mom is gay.

@Madid, so is mine...

I'm pretty sure my uncle is.

There is nothing wrong with feeling love for the same gender. It's a choice they have the right to make, and even then, most aren't given the choice. They are born feeling for the same gender just as much as I am born feeling for a guy. I couldn't love a woman if I tried, but there is nothing wrong in that. Love is love, and we should let them celebrate it just as I do. And about the whole marriage and adopting children thing... that's politics. And our government was made to keep religion out of it. Therefore the arguments against these are invalid and shouldn't be taken into account. I've heard no reason to keep gays from marrying and adopting that are not based on religious ideals.

I personally think it's not a good thing to do. (Trying to say this without coming off as an ignorant a--hole.)
But even though I wouldn't do it, I'm not going to hate people because they do. I don't agree, but I think it's a terrible thing to force people to live the way I think is right.
So no, I do not have a problem with gays and lesbians. I support their right to love and marry someone of the same gender, just as I have the right to love and marry someone of the opposite gender. -
Agne, if it weren't for people taking offense to the idea of gay child adoption, the children wouldn't be made fun of or ostracized. So if you remove the offended, there is no offence. But we simply can't remove the offended. So we have to look at why they take offense to it. And if I remember correctly, you started off by saying, "I'm Christian, so I think it's wrong."
Damn, ain't that God such a peachy and loving fella? Apparently making people so that they're only supposed to love the opposite gender the right way to do things. You're either removing free choice, or your making that God guy sound like a real prick.
Also, to address the thread as a whole, marriage is nothing more than saying, "Hey, I love this person and I have the documents to prove it." So if you love someone with the same genitals as you, have at it. You're just making it documented. As for child adoption, I would rather see every child in a home, than in a shelter. It's a little heartless to deny a child a family simply because the people that want them are homosexual.
Thank you for your time. -
Even though I'm a Christian, I still respect peoples sexual orientation. I do have a few lesbian friends who are sensitive whenever someone brings up the topic, as they are different from everyone else. I'm ok with it. Not great, but ok.

Getting mad at someone else for going against your religion is like getting mad at someone for eating a cheeseburger because you're on a diet.
They don't have a choice, so why hold it against them? I mean, sure, it seems like an odd concept, and I still need time to get used to it. But I'm not going to hate them immediately because I don't understand them completely. -
