I'll probably register as a Democrat sooner as opposed to later. Maybe the Green Party. The Democrats were a good party at one time. You do still see Democrats stand on their principles occassionally, like when they passed the health care bill. But a health care bill that really only goes about half as far as most Democrats would've liked certainly doesn't live up to the party's past accomplishments: the Social Security Act, Medicare, Medicaid, or the Civil Rights Act. Overall the Democrats are the party that maintains the status quo, whereas the Republicans have become a radical far-right party.

Yes, well I don't support the values of the Democratic party, but neither do I for the Republicans. I can't really think of a party that really fits my beliefs, just kinda libertarian/conservative I guess, but even then I'm uncomfortable to go under those labels. I'm just independent.

And, btw, this is Ana. xP

Alot of Republicans seem like really bad, scummy people to me. Newt Gingrich is probably the best example, though Santorum came off as a real scumbag at times. Even Romney doesn't sit right with me, because despite the awe-shucks nice guy persona he has, nothing about who he is or what he does strikes me as good or moral.

Same here, all three of them strike me as your average career politicians. I don't trust people like that. It's always the candidates that never seem to make it to the front page I end up supporting. I personally think the media puts too much influence on things, and doesn't reveal the facts, just a bunch of trivial crap.

The media has largely marginalized Ron Paul's candidacy, and that includes Fox News. Michelle Bachmann was also marginalized by the press, but chances are she would have self-imploded anyway. It sure would have been interesting if her candidacy had really taken off, but if she were elected President (which she thankfully won't be anytime soon), I would've renounced my citizenship and gone to live in Canada.
