Romney x Santorum
"You know, darling, I heard the strangest thing today," Rick said, stroking his lover's cheek with a smile.
"Were they talking about Newt winning the primary again?"
Both of them had a good, quick chortle about that. Poor Newt. They had invited him once, but he said he was saving himself for moon-men. They had to respect a man with ambition, being both very ambitious and men themselves.
"No, no... I heard that you speak French."
"Well, of course I do!" Mitt said with a deep, warm voice as warm as his hands and as deep as his love for his partner. "Te amo, ma lumiere."
Rick wilted against him, fluttering his eyes in admiration. "Wherever did you learn such elegance, my sweet?" Rick thought Mitt was very elegant indeed, with his perfectly salt-n-pepper hair, chiselled looks, and alluring voice.
"I suppose it was in my university years."
"Oh," Rick said, a little perturbed. Rick thought that college was rather silly and wasteful, and mostly for snobs, but Mitt's name sort of rhymed with his, so he was willing to overlook such obstacles to their love. "Anyway."
"Yes. Let us talk about you."
This was a rare thing, because mostly Mitt liked to pat Rick's hair and have him recite, in turn, Bible verses and gay p--- lines until the hypocrisy drove him to climax.
But today, Mitt felt like something different. So he said, "Do you remember, that night in Paris..."
With a swelling heart, Rick purred, "Of course, my love."
"...yes. I'd like to do that again."
Bright-eyed, Rick said, "Oh yes, yes." He sat back, uncurling himself from his lover's lap, and moved to sit across from him. He took Mitt's hands in his own and said, "I dont believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute."
"Oh, that's so wrong..." Mitt whispered, eyes starting to gleam.
"The idea that the church can have no influence or no involvement in the operation of the state..." Rick paused, waiting to hear an expectant little sigh from Mitt. "...is absolutely antithetical to the objectives and vision of our country.
"Ohh, so wrong, so wrong, that's beautifully wrong," he murmured, leaning forward to eskimo-kiss his Ricky. "Keep going, please."
"What kind of country do we live that says only people of non-faith can come into the public square and make their case? Tell me, Mitt, what kind of country is that?"
"Oh Jesus, you're too good at this." Mitt had to take a moment and breathe deeply to steady himself. He squeezed his love's hands. "We might have to slow down."
"We'll go at whatever speed you like, dumpling," he assured Mitt with another eskimo-kiss. But Rick didn't lean away this time, fired up by the torch of adoration in his mate's eyes.
Mitt murmured, "Freedom and religion endure together, or perish alone," and that was all it took to for Rick to throw his arms around the other man, their tongues seeking each other just the same way as their twining souls.
