Thread Topic: Federal Judge strikes down Proposition 8.

Proposition 8 was a proposition on the ballot in California banning gay marriage there and it passed with 52%. A Federal Judge has recently struck it down as unconstitutional. Many expect this to go to the Supreme Court.
Some say this is a victory for Gay Rights, others say this Federal Judge went against the will of the people. -

tongue NewbieSo what if he went against "the will of the people"- the will of the people is wrong. And it's about time someone's willing to go against what the majority wants and acknoledge how wrong they are. There was a time when a majority of people in the South favored lynching blacks, and because of that it took decades to pass a federal anti-lynching law.
