Of course for good reasons and self defense, but I realized what it is that makes me proud to be an American. Strong, hard-working, moral, giving, fighting for justice people. I like the ones who aren't afraid to speak up, be different, make up their minds for themselves, and change something. Are we so worried these days just to be average and go with the masses?
I felt like pointing this out, because it's part of what makes America truly a great country. Get off your ass and work for what you want, it's your right and duty.
Hell yes. -
tongue AdvancedMaybe that's what America once was, or what we've been taught it is, but that's not America.
Yea we work hard, but we break our backs and get pushed around in the process. Everyone who works for someone else to make a living is nothing but a wageslave in this country.
Yea we're moral, if morality means rallying against abortion, gays, and sex. If we were really a moral country, we'd all be absolutely appalled at poverty, homelessness, greed, and pollution and other ills. Our apathy is simply immoral.
Which brings us to "fighting for justice". Like I said, we're apathetic as hell. The only people fighting for anything are Tea Partiers who digest right-wing propaganda and have a warped sense of reality.
Warped sense of reality, a very interesting point in all of this. It's no wonder the Tea Party movement is so strong, because all our lives the forces of propaganda in our society manufacture a false reality for us to live in. America is a nation out of touch with it's own reality, and I would not be surprised if this fact led to our downfall. -
I agree.

Haha, warped sense of reality? Bulls---.
But anyway, yeah, it doesn't really exist anymore because people have gotten lazy and entitled.
